Good place to work

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Great work life balance but pay is low comparatively, good learning opportunities, slow growth career wise but excellent team and everyone gets to work at their own pace. Training are mostly online which could be changed post pandemic but cost cutting by management is sometimes the main goal

Nice workforce with clowns running the show.

What is the best part of working at the company?A very young management. You’ll only get promoted if you’re good friends with someone above you. Zero experience from outside professional people. Clueless management. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? No direction from the manager but nice work staff. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?A 1960s museum. Once again implemented by a clueless management. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Amusement once again from misdirection.

Paid the bills, but there's better out there

What is the best part of working at the company?Shopfloor staff are friendly. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The management. No clear plan. Change what they say. Don't give you what is required to do the job. Sound modern but treat you in a Victorian manner. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Old asbestos buildings, pvc fumes and dust. Not healthy. Culture is, manager watches a YouTube video one night and wants it recreating on a shoestring by the next visit, while you try and do your original job, you don't manage it, and he holds a grudge foreverWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?Firefighting problems and cleaning, lots of cleaning

Depends which division

Honeywell is a massive company and a conglomeration of smaller companies under one brand. Just because one person thinks it’s amazing another person will find the place not nice to work because of the different areas of business what is clear with her is that honeymooners American company is all about capitalism. They operate on a very lean model utilising a central matrix function, meaning you could be dealing with people from all of the world, particularly in lower paid countries like Eastern Europe and India, it’s very corporate extremely bureaucratic slow and whilst the company thinks it’s usually dynamic in the division that I work in I totally disagree. The companies generally quite tight with funding for investment and is more than happy to plough into Huge revenue stream businesses like US defence. The company expects a lot. I’m not that sympathetic, the staff pay the bare minimum of everything e.g. pension and most people I know within the division I work in and not particularly happy employees and get totally frustrated over the culture and behaviour of the business.

Pros

Salary good

Cons

Bureaucratic, corporate culture of mediocrity, slow to respond, lack of staff, too much work

Pros

Wage not bad.some nice staff.

Cons

Worst place I have ever had the unfortunate experience to work in

What is the best part of working at the company? The end of shift as the place was a nightmateWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company?Just being there man management skills were non existantWhat is the work environment and culture like at the company?Disgraceful managers and supervision were way out of their depth no idea how to motivate staff in a high volume production unitWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?Complete and utter mayhem no production plan no motivation only lies about how other shifts produced more when proof was shown that it was not the the case threat of job loss ensued

What is the best part of working at the company?Friendly Supervisor! peaceful community! What is the most stressful part about working at the company?when you have a over confident team mate, and being a new employee we are not totally familiar turning off the machines. someone teach us how to turn it off but only ONCE. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?good, respectful, clean and not noisyWhat is a typical day like for you at the company? My job being a assembler, I do all the stations and being a new employee I don't do/finish much like the seniors there. having a senior teammate on our station is really helpful if benefits well.

Unhappy place with toxic culture

Run by Americans who have no clue on our UK industry, cut throat cutbacks, bad for its staff and customers. Toxic culture . Very us and them. Unrealistic goals and targets, Glad to be gone.

Bad leadership, aggressive and bullying culture. Progression not given to cleverest most capable people but rather to the bully’s.

Incapable and bullying attitude within sensing solutions within finance team USA site. Not a place for progression and promotion for Product Managers unless you have aspirations for a nervous breakdown.

Only recommend if desperate

No significant job progression. Upper management simply don’t care about the employees. Refuse to pay decent wages to encourage/force overtime and weekend work. Was told at my pay review “you work a lot of overtime which means you have a good wage”. Progressed to my maximum available level within 2 years, no opportunity for promotions as no management left or positions weren’t backfilled. Knowing they were the only company like this in the area, they effectively have a monopoly over their employees. Was offered 1.3% pay rise which they considered fair. Left to work for a much better company and received a 5% pay rise within 3 months purely because of cost of living. Would only go back if I absolutely had to.

Pros

Subsidised canteen

Great place

Great culture and flexibility. Diverse teams and good facilities onsite. Good benefits package although pension contributions be improved when ccompared to other global businesses.

Pros

On site facilities in Basildon

Cons

Role did not offer a clear career path

Poor Workplace

Please avoid this company. Treat their staff unfairly. Promised things at interview and when I got the job it was all a lie. Pension contributions from Honeywell are rubbish. No incentives for staff. Cannot talk to an actual person from HR you have to send an email and then wait 48 hours for a response and then again once you reply back. Management treat you like rubbish and if you are a fool. It’s like big brother is watching you. You do not feel at ease

Pros

None

Cons

Everything
