Warehouse Operative (Current Employee) - Ellesmere Port, Cheshire - 11 August 2023
Unfortunately the job role has changed ,still picking and packing but at a much faster pace. honeywell have invested for Geek to put robots into action that are constantly on the move . Morale is at a all time low as you can't even talk for a few seconds, all you get from manager.email is ,come on,just want none stop movement, but OK for them to talk. Place is just bloody exhausting. It use to be a Great place to work ,fun and had a laugh with colleagues and still worked well ,just so serious all the time now. May be your cup of tea not mine,am looking to leave so that says alot
Pros
Wage not bad.some nice staff.
Cons
Pestered to work overtime alot, no free speech, opinions dont matter, becoming a robot yourself!

I was very happy and satisfied working for this company and would come back anytime. I worked in an environment of friendship combined with good business understanding and respect from the smallest employee to the largest.

Amazing time working there.
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Poole, Dorset - 10 September 2021
Really nice job, nice team leader, nice supervisor, nice colleagues, everyone is really friendly. They provide training for everything. They don't put pressure on you on your first day's because they know that you didn't do that kind of job before. It's just a nice job.

Easy work, poor management
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Helsby, Cheshire - 10 March 2020
Easy to pick up the way the job works. People you work with are ok but the supervisors are lazy, only let you progress if you are a favourite and have bad attitudes.
Pros
premium rate for late shift
Cons
Poor management

Jobs at Honeywell
Warehouse Worker positionsGood Banter with Staff. Management play favourites
Warehouse Operator (Former Employee) - Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester - 21 August 2019
worked at Honeywell Cheadle for nearly five years. No room for stock or for work space. There was a culture of nepotism by management I.E- lets give cushy jobs to my betting buddies. After falling out with my manager I was sent to work in the worst Dept. where Health and Safety was very poor. I breathed in carbon dust for six months, when i asked for an extractor fan, no chance. All i can say is some of these big companies talk the talk but rarely walk the walk. Think twice about share scheme i didnt even get the money i paid in back.

Good work place but it's run by polish they get preferences on everything plus they will fight you out of the job if u r progressing so their own can take positions available.

Management treat you like meat.
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Helsby, Cheshire - 9 August 2019
If this is a temporary position you will be finished up in 11 months.
Training is what the guys show you.
Safety is very good.
If you have a complaint or grievance you are wasting your time as you will never succeed.
Better companies to work for out there.
Pros
Good safety
Cons
Poor management

Warehouse
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - St. Asaph, Denbighshire - 26 November 2018
Nepotism and favourtism is rife which leads to a culture where the professional and skilled are the ones who suffer.
Honeywell have equality practices in place but I have not seen area managers uphold or review these. Sad to say but if the top site manager is a 'bad apple' then most follow suit, most likely through fear or like minded egotism.
I cannot count how many of the good managers either left or were made redundant. Avoid like the plague until the culture changes and they remember how to treat people equally.
Pros
None
Cons
Good people to work with excluding management

I was only agency so no advancement
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Helsby - 24 April 2018
A large company that seems a bit disjointed, not very good at translating forward planning to workforce practically, always chasing orders at the end of each month.
Pros
Nice people, easy job
Cons
No advancement

Oddly Quiet
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - St. Asaph - 15 September 2017
i would work in the production line and packing area and finish off the plug Sockets and light switches with electrical parts and get through 50 to 100 every hour using a hand cranked press and the spend the rest of the day packing boxes with the products that were finished it took all day but the work was really quiet, no one bothered you if you needed something there was no one there to ask and if something broke you just moved on to something else and kept working and told who ever came in next there was a problem and hoped it got sorted out
Pros
good pay at the time
Cons
no job security as i was agency

Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Helsby - 8 November 2016
Although provided winter clothing, the warehouse is still freezing, during the winter months, no heating in the warehouse I worked in. However one of the areas better employers. Pay, benefits, good. Most of the FLM's are pretty good too.
