Flexible hours
Waiter (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 11 October 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedPayroll is often rude when you make enquiries, not rewarded for providing favours and serving the company a long time. But good job to balance other commitments as well. You pick your own hours. Although not a reliable source of steady income

Jobs at Host Staffing
Don’t if you have respect for yourself!
Team Member (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 8 November 2023
The job is very flexible yes, you can chose where to work. Most times managers don’t care about staff. No respect, they shout at you, project their stress onto you etc very toxic. The phone line too, extremely passive aggressive. They can issue strikes for things like uniform or lateness (even if you call in) , and will cancel your shifts without telling you why.. You think you’re going in for a plate waiting shift, but then expected to do the cleaners job, porter’s job, manage heavy weights, oh and be a personal therapist for your mangers too. They give you training at the induction once, even if you take a break you’re expected to know the updated rules and regulations without them alerting you of changes. Good perks: You sometimes meet celebrities, you see beautiful venues, you meet other staff in the same boat as you. All in All, if you have an ounce of respect for yourself, steer clear.
Pros
Free lunches, new beautiful venues, possible VIP clients.
Cons
Job description doesn’t not match the job, You are not treated with respect, The managers would rather shout and curse than talk like humans, The culture is extremely toxic, The managers are biased and two faced.

Flexible but no job security
Hospitality Staff (Current Employee) - London - 17 October 2023
Lots of different roles available and no experience needed. Easy to get in touch with management and app is very easy to use. However lack of work during the summer and no job security. Can be hard to book shifts sometimes.

Flexible and good.
Bartender (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 25 September 2023
The people were friendly and the work hours were whatever you wanted. Made fitting other things in very easy and still allowed me to work. All environments were very welcoming.

terrible agency but there’s agencies much worse. stadium work is horrible, however shifts at other venues are much nicer to work at. can be quite hard to get shifts sometimes

Can be tough but worth as a side gig.
Barback (Former Employee) - City of London, Greater London - 21 August 2023
The company offers a lot of shifts but not a lot of different jobs. The pay is standard but the shift finds can be inconvenient, either too long or too short.

Not great
Agency Worker (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 21 August 2023
The shifts themselves are alright (although I’d avoid during the summer when there aren’t as many), but it’s calling them to cancel or change anything that’s the problem. They’re rude, (sometimes before you even start to speak on the phone with an attitude of “why are you bothering me?”). Don’t get me wrong, some people are much nicer who work at the office, but wow, some are really just not nice at all.

Wouldn’t recommend. There’s plenty of other better agencies
Catering and Hospitality Work (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 16 August 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Very rude staff and always receiving less pay than should be “by mistake” What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Dealing with the agency themselves What is the work environment and culture like at the company? It’s agency work so you meet new people on every shift What is a typical day like for you at the company? Working different events in different venues

Good for Short Term Work
Hospitality Staff (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 16 August 2023
Good for short term occasional work but not for regular work. Shifts are far and few between in the beginning with a lot of kitchen porter shifts being offered. Once a few jobs have been done more jobs show up but the hours offered are irregular. Overall what you would expect from a staffing agency, you're seen as a number and the client is always put ahead even when wrong but that's the game.

Good pay and flexibility
Hospitality Staff (Current Employee) - London - 10 August 2023
High pay and very good for fitting around your lifestyle. You can choose what days to work and can be at exciting locations/events. Although getting shifts can be difficult and when applying for jobs on the app you often won’t hear back for ages. All the shifts are spread widely around London so sometimes have to spend a lot of money on transport and as often they are evening shifts it can be difficult to get home after. And often these shifts are only 4/5 hours so it doesn’t always feel worth it.
Pros
Good pay, flexible, fun shifts
Cons
Hard to get shifts

Flexible jobs
Food Server (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 9 August 2023
Flexible and high paying jobs. Although some places do make you do stuff outside of your job description. Good communication and plenty of jobs except during Jan-March.

Good working holiday job
Barista (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 4 August 2023
Easy app to use and apply for shifts. Staff are super friendly and there are so many different locations to visit, from festivals to cooperate offices. I’ve loved my time with host and found it very interesting to visit new locations every week.

Good
Staff (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 24 July 2023
Pay well and quickly! Fun jobs generally, and good to meet new people whilst working. Can occasionally be difficult to get shifts in summer but when it works I couldn’t ask for more!

Flexible Job and great pay!
Hospitality Staff (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 24 July 2023
I love working for Host. It was the perfect job to whilst I was at university - I only worked when and where I wanted to work which was great around a busy uni schedule. It feels like only job when you can work full time when needed and then pick up the odd shift when uni is busy . Pay is great too with the added bonus of holiday pay which is added onto the payslip when requested. So many different types of shifts available, I've made lots of friends and learnt many new skills. Can't recommend to a student more!
Pros
Holiday Pay, Food on shifts.

Outstanding hospitality opportunities
Hospitality Staff (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 24 July 2023
I have loved working for Host Staffing. Ever since my induction, I knew I was joining a professional, well respected, and fun agency. All my interactions with the office team and account managers have been friendly and very helpful. The hospitality work is varied and exciting, with many venues and events I would never have been able to see without working for Host. I would highly recommend Host to any person seeking temp work in London.
Pros
Great access to varied shifts across London
Cons
No cons

Good pay and not too hard jobs.
Waitress (Current Employee) - Any - 23 July 2023
Very good job for flexible work. And very well paid. The only problem is the limit of shifts. Can barely find any these days or they fill up very fast.

The perfect job for my studies
Casual Hospitality staff (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 21 July 2023
Absolutely loved working with Host. It helped me out so much during my studies in London. I'd worked a few pub jobs when I first moved down, but when I found Host my life in London got so much more interesting. I worked some incredible events and witnessed a few amazing gigs too whilst working (which was perfect as i was studying music!) Couldn't recommend it enough.
Pros
Incredible events

The most inclusive and supportive company I've had the pleasure to work with.
Accounts Manager (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 20 July 2023
I started as a temp working as a bartender and plate waiter. I received amazing praise and support and moved to managing and eventually landed a spot on the other side of the business in the office. The amount of amazing opportunities and experiences I have received in 14 months is incomparable. I highly recommend this agency whether it's for flexible part time work or a full time career.
Pros
Very easy to grow and move up the ladder

Great to create my own schedule
Hospitality Staff (Former Employee) - London - 20 July 2023
I had such a great time working for Host during my uni holidays. It's so easy to pick up shifts here and there and organise around my schedule unlike a lot of summer work where you have to commit to 2months +. I worked loads of different events, some are super fun and chill, others are fast paced but the time goes by quickly. I never felt overwhelmed with the work expected of me ( I didn't have hospitality experience before joining) and there's always a great team of people and supportive team leaders around. I've received really nice food on shifts from some events and managed to see some cool bands perform at festivals as well.
Pros
Work around my own time, food often provided, nice team of people, helpful office, competitive pay compared to other agencies
