Kitchen Sales Designer in West Bromwich, West Midlands

Decent.
Management is hit or miss and the targets are stupidly high when first joining. Can be very boring just sitting in the office on your own as each branch only has 1-3 kitchen designers.

No progression
Absolutely no chance of career progression at Howdens as at least 1-2 pay-grades are strategically missing through the the structure. Everyone is ‘stuck’ and working with zero goal in sight. Personal development plans don’t exist and expect a one to one with your line manager once a year where none of your concerns will be addressed. Senior Management are all very happy, but who wouldn’t be earning big money knowing no one is going to move up through the ranks and knock you off your perch. Given a Christmas hamper at Christmas to keep us peasants fed & grateful.

Hard work. Can be worth it at times.
Overall a decent company to work for, Secure job, Paid well but can be very tiring and working 6 days a week isn’t the best for life outside work especially when it’s such a tiring job.
