A decent place to work, not bad but could have been better

If you want a career as an engineer surveyor go elsewhere
The actual day to day surveyor job is great however this isn't the company to join if you want quality training and management with a clear direction. They are seen by the industry leaders as firmly at the bottom of the pile as far as engineering competence is concerned. Quantity has become the obsession of middle management rather than quality in the last 5 yrs to the extent that anyone not achieving is put on a performance improvement plan. Days at hsb
Working at hsb was an enjoyable experience, the staff were very friendly. Training was given as and when required, management were very fair and approachable.Engineer Surveyor in Home Based

Lack of transparency/bad management culture
Lied to about salary progression. Agreed by HR with email trail over ruled by management that had previously agreed at interview.
Little support from management on any work practice or any process (it’s the way we’ve always done it). Both Regional Managers particularly bad.What would you say about your employer?
