Work-life balance

Lead Practitioner in South Shields, Tyne and Wear
on 19 February 2021
life saving
I started by coming through the service in 2009 soon moved in to volunteering and paid employment, always been encouraged to chase my potential, , have received and still receiving great training , a truly amazing organisation to work for , 100 percent supportive
Recovery Coordinator in South Shields, Tyne and Wear

This place will damage your mental health
Toxic environment with inexperienced managers who enjoy the tiny bit of power they posses. If you could write a model on how not to value and motivate staff this is it. The quality of the client work is irrelevant as long as the targets are being met. It was a truly awful experience.
Service access support worker in North East
on 6 December 2020
Excellent company and service
I would strongly recommend humankind as place to work for anyone wanting to work in a sector that helps other people.Very flexible, real client care focus and a wonderful team.
Drug and Alcohol Worker in North East England
on 23 October 2020
Target driven and employment /promotion based on 'who you know'
Humankind is a misleading name. Clients come second to the processes and ways of working which are made more complicated than they need be.Staff regularly work more then their contracted hours to meet the targets and manage big caseloads. The culture is punative.Jobs are given to people, previously known to senior members of the organisation, whilst long serving members of staff are being driven out. There is a 'face fitting' culture.
Support Worker/Carer in North East
on 2 September 2020
Most of the staff are very supportive as they have worked together for many years working for different companies. But addictions has been poisoned and clients and staff have been let down by this new provider. Total none caring attitude. Ticking boxes and huge caseloads. No support from management. Most staff are looking for employment elsewhere as they feel totally overwhelmed and feel that they are never appreciated only criticised. Feeling like a robot and not a caring person.
