Great pay, hard work
Courier Driver (Former Employee) - Swansea - 7 November 2022
If you own your own van and don't have many commitments outside of work, it's a great way to make money. Get treated like a cog in a machine but the pay is enough to look past it. Will lay you off in a heartbeat if they don't need you

Stay away
Driver (Former Employee) - Hampshire - 10 June 2022
They lie about the pay, you never get what they tell you. Long hours and over priced van rate means you end up with nothing. They deduct everything and dont pay you for over 6 weeks from when you start. That means all the adblue and diesel costs come only out of your pocket. Even when you get your pay its like £8 for diesel.Your actually pay when you magically get it turns into less than minimum wage after all deductions. Not worth anyones time and would stay far away!!!!!!!

Just like to say Thanks to Idel group very honest and helpful with everything I didn’t have a van so i rented one off Idel at a very competitive rate they help you with the cost of your fuel for the first three weeks until you get first payment they operate a honest self billing system which is very helpful and it takes the stress away from you the on site management are hard but fair so would I recommend them most definitely

Decent delivery company to work for
Driver (Former Employee) - Southampton, Hampshire - 10 February 2021
I worked for iDel for 2 months in the Christmas period hiring a van from their affiliate company. Overall I enjoyed the time working for iDel and found the experience enjoyable with decent, paid training and a fuel allowance (18p a mile for me). If you have your own van this would be a very well paying job, as about a third of what I earnt went on van rental and fuel. One downside was the payment system as I had to wait 6 weeks for my first paycheck which means that fuel costs for these weeks come out of your pocket until you get paid. Van rental comes straight out of your paycheck and to me seemed around fair enough value. After I finished working it took a very long time to get my final payment as they told me that the admin around checking for damages takes a long time, however, because I was careful and had no damage on the van I had no deduction to the amount I was owed and actually got paid more than I was expecting! The driver drop off system is great with a driver waiting at the end of the day to pick up any parcels that you couldn't deliver, they do go home after a while but in my experience they were fairly flexible. Furthermore if they see that you are unlikely to complete all your parcels in time on their system they will send over someone on a rescue mission and relieve you of parcels in order for you to complete your shift. For these services WhatsApp is used and all staff were very responsive and helpful in getting me finished and home at a decent time.
Pros
Extra parcel drop off, choose days you want to work
Cons
Payment system

Swerve
Multi Drop Driver (Former Employee) - Swansea, Swansea - 11 January 2020
Based in Swansea but told to drive to Swindon 2 hours away or you won't have work, even after you finish your 150 stops you're forced to go help the rubbish drivers at your own cost, made up reasons to not get your bonus, if you load late you should get aate wave payment but the company keeps this, loading at 11am to be sent an hour away with a 9 hour route on board, no time for lunch or even toilet breaks,

Accuse you of stealing parcels, steal your concession bonus and dont give you work often.
Driver (Former Employee) - Newport, Newport - 1 May 2018
Idel group ltd work at amazon and they make up your concessions so you lose your bonus. They put people in uninsured vans, they dont provide work unless your targets are in the 98% zone which is impossible to complete with over 170 parcels in rural lanes.
Rubbish waste of time.
Pros
Its a job
Cons
Long hours, rubbish pay, slavery and the targets are rediculous
