Horrible place to work
This is a place to avoid at all costs.Bad management and favouritism goes on here and you only seem to go anywhere if your face fitsLots of agency workers who take the mickey and do the bare minimum .

Terrible place to work, unless you are a manager.
The management are awful, quick to blame employees for anything that goes wrong, they do not like when you give an opinion if it doesn't match their opinion, any mention of wages and they bury their head in the sand. The pay is awful, minimum wage, no unsociable hours enhancements, no bonuses, the long service reward doesn't really exist (Unless you consider 10p extra a bonus), Training and development stops as soon as you reach the level of technican, unless your face fits in with management.I also notice that the job title of Technican has also gone, in favour of Operative, no doubt in order to get away paying a lower wage than a Technican titled role. I would be interested to see if their Lead Technican's are still referred to as that, or if they are now called Lead Operatives.

Awful place to work no scope for progression, Management are absolutely useless only care about the work being done and not about the staff they take on more and more work with no consideration for the staff and how this effects them. Very repetitive job once trained. We used to get a Christmas bonus of £17 which was taken away from us considering we basically save people’s live and hospital cannot function without us we are paid penny’s. Night staff are really unwelcoming, Late shift all they do is moan behind your back then lick your back side specially the lead technician. Early shift is a lovely shift to work unfortunately you won’t get this shift. Free parking which is nice breaks are fair. People with an NHS contract get paid a lot more then staff recruited by IHSS and they are the laziest of workers. But they are happy to take any overtime because there benefits offer them double or time and half which isn’t fair.
