92 questions about working at IKEA
I got interviewed in 2020 and in the interview they told me they had recently changed the way they interviewed as I was confused because it was so different to how people online had described it. First of all you apply and if they like your cv they they send you a link to do an online interview where you record yourself answering questions. If they like your answers they will ask you to attend an interview (mine was a group interview). At the group interview you will do a very simple task with around 8 other people and then one by one you will be individually taken for two different interviews.

Answered 11 July 2019IKEA doesn’t hire on experience or education. They hire on who you are, your morals, your demeanour and how those things line up with your values. Experience in the field you’re applying for is an advantage if it’s marketing or HR etc, but definitely not what they’re all about. IKEA have their own training programmes and a way they do things that is very different than any other retailer, they prefer in house training over anything you may have learnt before.
Answered 13 August 2019Sometimes, but Ikea like to have everyone on part-time hours
