Production Technician in Seal Sands

Production technician
Good people on site shop floor with plenty of experience but too much input from a poor management infrastructure which has led to site shutting down due to lack of people who can make decisions when it matters and have to much to say on matters that don’t concern them.
Huge blame culture which gives a negative vibe on the site

Absolute joke of a company.
Complete and utter shambles working in an environment were nothing works and nothing gets fixed - safety a complete joke lifts that have been condemned still get used. Management are completely incompetent and only look at things that will benefit themselves. A lot of bullying from older management and favouritism. Was told in interview I could progress to a shift job in 12 months 18 months later just got constant lies and false promises from useless managers. Avoid this place at all costs worst company i have worked for in my life glad I got out.

Rat race
Over rated remember you are working with dangerous gas and liquids at high pressures . You have to be a yes man if you are good at your job you will struggle to adapt . Safety when it suits they spend allot of money on Safety advisors when the money would be better spent on materials and new plant equipment. To many managers for the same job a waste of money that plant was to create local jobs .It never they come from far and wide to work there

Who you know, not what you know!!
Only get a job on a who you know basis, everyone around the sites has a relative, parent or friend somewhere in the place which got them a job!
People who know nothing about the role or plant get priority due to family connections within the site. Incidents and accidents tried to get swept under the carpet.. favouritism for the plant managers golden boys.
Even the work force just seem to sit talking about each other, unfortunately the place has turned very two faced over the years..
