Good Place to learn : Salary is comparatively lower than the market standards
vast project gives opportunity to work in multiple technologies and multiple projects.
It totally depends on which project or unit you are working under since it is a very big company .
Sometimes there is too much stress created due to old generation managers who creates a whatsapp group of work and expects working you round the clock .
positives- Excellent campus and diverse domain and technology opportunities
One of the market leaders for offshore delivery and management of complex IT programmes. 160,000 global SME's. Not always aligned with their on, near and off shore service and delivery model.
This is a very good company for those who want to stay in a company for a long in there initial years . They have some good projects and tie with certain good companies but the bad part is salary , there salary is non competitive
Company is very political and pressure related work. There is good support with the unit games within the organization :-(. Other than the client work, there are more Infosys related work would be there.
Very stressful environment, but satisfying if you are on a project. Business operates unlike anywhere else i've been, more like a talent agency. Not much hands on training offered but plenty of electronic training available. Heavily focused around India employees and business models.
Incomplete, reduntant cumbersome processes. Low salary, no hikes. Inefficient & incapable managers putting lots of pressure to deliver and imputating others for failure.
Good oppurtunities to learn and explore different career oppurtunities and career build options and proactive learning curve. Management and work cluture
1.First person to initiate the project and successfully implemented as per the business requirements.
2.Dealing with multiple scrum teams at a time.
3.Responsible for over all deliverable.
Always fun to work with Infosys as workng for different customers across different domains are always challenging and competitive. All of the Infoscians are quick learners and flexible to pick up any technology, any domain and any job at any point of time.
Pros
Secure and competitive . Good learning opportunity
Cons
Salary is not negotiable
Overall experience is good. The only thing which bothered me was a Non-technical managers in the Technical Delivery area. But the work life balance was great. The Infosys Campuses in India are the best.
As a company Infosys has got a marvelous work culture in terms of opportunities and exposure. However, more than the company its the project and people you are working with.
Fulfilling and enriching experience with lot of learning and great work culture. Internal training access available for continuous learning.Good environment and good policies for employees.
Workplace culture is good and always open to innovation. Good forum to learn lot of things. Good visibility of work that you do. Awesome training experience.
Gives opportunity to play new roles
Poor management and lack of long term vision
Struggle to have work life balance as customer satisfaction is utmost priority.
Huge knowledge base with plenty of learning programs.
Less employee friendly.
Lengthy operational processes and bureaucracy takes away employee satisfaction
Pros
Free phone and broadband
Cons
Long office hours
It is a good place to start your career as an introduction to the industry. There is a lot of help available, but you only need to know the right contacts.
This industry has suddenly become very competitive and likes of Infosys needs to find its USP against large firms like IBM, Accenture and so on. The company is in the process of finding that.
