Staff might still feel not valued enough by getting "packages" that pays low and requires a lot of your time away from home. However it's always easy to speak to management and they do try to listen. All quite friendly and focused on their work. Not many problems with pay management which is great. Nurses there are mostly helpful, experienced and friendly too. Overall, I believe a good company shouldn't be good if only compared with worse services, but with good ones. Interserve can get there if they want to. Great potential for it.
I still work for the company, seen lots of office staff come and go, just think it can be very stressful on times for them. They never force you into a shift if your unable to cover it, Work have always been good, And they always try their best to find you extra shifts if you if you don't have any. holiday pay is good i can draw it out whenever i want to. milage rate for petrol could be better, Training is very good the best around. Different packages are rated at different prices.
Good holiday pay, Good rates of pay
Milage rate could be better
Do yourself a favour, and go for a nice walk along the seafront, potter through the Lanes, but if you value your sanity, and have a good work ethic, walk past this company. The money is good, but money isnt everything. They will bleed you dry, whist working you into the ground.
Shockingly bad management; poor work culture; long hours.
No hours you don't get enough hours to earn a living and fall into debts and the pay is not good for all the travelling you must to do you don't get paid for travelling from say Manchester to Bolton
No hours unfair pick and choose who they want to give hours to
Interserve is an agency so, do not expect anything more than what most agencies will provide. There are several branches, I worked for the Nottingham branch, so this review will be based on that. Training provided is basic and is not paid for but you will be expected to travel to attend. Rates of pay are better than most agencies however, hours can be very unpredictable, such as 40+ hours one week, none the next. the Nottingham branch is slow, it takes a long time for anything to process, it took almost 3 months from my application being processed to starting the training. would recommend as a job for those not looking for full time work or just want to bulk up existing work.
hours unpredicatable, slow to get going
my work has dipped from time to time but isn't that with any agency. i work for rochdale branch, have a good relationship with the consultants. worked for the company for over 4 years. they will upskill you if they see the potential in you. overall i can't complain otherwise i wouldn't have lasted the last four years. just make sure you hand your timesheets on time :-)
weekly pay, invest in you
I was made to believe that I will get what I wanted but so far nothing regular.I joined with all the enthusiasm which is all gone. Not good as a main job maybe as a second job. The staff I was in contact with not very professional no team work but competing to be the best but not really taking their duty of care seriously. They felt I was a threat to their jobs so was removed from the package.
Free tea, free training
No transport and no food allowance as live in
