It was a lovely start back into show business after 21 years in a different profession, and I felt very encouraged and included in the team. Thank you for a very positive experience. The Mud was the hardest part of the job, the acting comes naturally now after all the life experiences I have had. The training I had as a child at stage schools made me feel like I was just getting back on the horse again.
Joining a team of lovely professionals.
Mud on the first day.
I loved working at ITV, I was passionate about the programmes so it was a great job for me. Was busy but varied so I was never bored. The culture was good, everyone was nice to work with.
Lots of treats and a lovely office
Sometimes long hours
A yearly evaluation is the perfect time to set clear goals for your professional development. For example, if you want to progress to a higher level, you will need to take on extra tasks and prove that you have what it takes. Through the two-way discussion with your manager, you’ll be able to identify and set clear goals for the following year. It will also give you something to base your progress on, which will help when it comes to the following year’s review.
ITV has always been a great company to work for and they care about the welfare of their employees. The benefits are excellent and in my 11 years here I have received both a salary increase and bonus every year.
Great benefits and a company that cares about your welfare
Only little things that are not really worth mentioning
A challenging environment to work in due to a number of historical factors that remain unresolved. ITV very much wants to progress and wants to be commercially successful, it's technology strategy relies on outsourcing much of the time is spent on managing outsourcers
Good social environment
Time spent managing outsourcers
A typical day at work was anything from working on the call centre to building computers and placing these on to the user's desk to helping in setting up the network system. I learned Administration duties for the IT manager and then progressed into building computers and installing all of the necessary software and placing them on users desks. I also learned how to support the software when this failed. and how to network a large organisation. Couldn't have asked for a better team of managers. The workplace culture was relaxed and fun. The most enjoyable aspect of the job was that every day was a different challenge.
I will never forget my work experience at ITV This Morning. It was something I was so proud to have gained and has impressed employers. It taught me how to succeed in a fast paced work place.
