Hours are completely individual to practice, department and contract. We will always welcome questions regarding hours when applying for a vacancy and will always try to accommodate where possible.

No. If a practice doesn’t use an external company to cover out of hours, it is part of the IVC Evidensia Graduate Academy guidelines that new graduates on the programme are not to be on the practices OOH's rota in month 1, 2nd on call only month 2 and only if their Clinical Coach is happy do they go on the OOH's rota in month 3.However, if you really enjoy ECC and OOHs work, we have lots of practices that do have this but also VetsNow the OOHs provider is part of IVC Evidensia and you will have the opportunity to get experience with them later on if you wish.
