I was reluctant to leave my previous job of 8 years as they were so accommodating with child care and was adamant I wouldn't find anything even close to being the same. However, I started at PFS and am now kicking myself that I didn't leave earlier. They are the best company I have worked for in all aspects. I have progressed massively since joining and am extremely excited for my future in the company. Everyone in the team is so friendly and welcoming and there is always something going on to join in with.

Professional and enjoyable workplaces!

What is the best part of working at the company?Really good colleagues and team spirit, and everyone trying to do their best in their work! What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The early start time (8am) though the team were flexible to accommodate traffic and childcare problems, and the earlier finish times are a positive - just have to adjust your schedule a little! What is the work environment and culture like at the company? We were 60% remote so the daily morning team call really helped everyone to feel good as a team.

Great in some aspects, terrible in others

Company pay is great. Yearly negotiations to ensure its in line with the cost of living rate and good bonus alongside it too. Some people are very caring about their employees. A department to avoid is Event Vehicle Operations, it's known for its terrible atmosphere and management there are not good people, a very toxic environment in that one sector. However anywhere else in the business, absolutely do what you can to join, great place to work.

Fun workplace

Salary is great and no stress. Poor management in some ways but wonderful non toxic environment. Workplace activities are bot enough, classical engineer environment

Unpleasant

Big turnover of staff, recruitment of questionable characters, shoddy management, a sometimes-aggressive environment, unhealthy work patterns, toilets a threat to public health, massive waste, Marxist trade union, zero care for employees...that'll do for now. The money's not bad, like.

Horrible

Avoid like the plague.Full blown toxic environment ran by managers that have nothing to do with engineering. No processes ,no structure,no direction. The products developed are old and uncompetitive.

Fun place

I like it here, Working as a production operative typically involves tasks related to manufacturing or assembly line processes. It can vary depending on the industry and specific company, but common responsibilities include operating machinery, quality control, assembly, and following production schedules. It can be physically demanding, with repetitive tasks, and may require attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Overall, the experience can vary, so it's essential to consider the specific job and company you're interested in for a more detailed understanding.

Productive workplace

Monotonous, robot like. Some staff/management preach change but don't action it, can be very difficult place to work if you are strong willed. Good rate of pay if you can switch your brain off

Productive place

It was really nice to work JLR. The management and the workplace culture was good. The most enjoyable part was working from home 2 days a week. Still miss that place.

Great place to work, very competitive pay

Great culture, with a focus on individual growth (training & experiences cross functions) and ultimately, company success. If you work under a great leader, you'll enjoy your work day in, day out.

If you’re agency you won’t got permanent

No job security whatsoever. People were threatened with dismissal every other day. Agency staff have almost 0% chance of going permanent. The cars are rubbish. Management are ok to your face but talk behind your back. No security but we had fun and colleagues were ok too

Pros

Monday to friday

Cons

No job security

Good place for a stable carreer

Your experience is only as good as your resolve and ability to make solutions.Good people to work with, management are trying to make the culture good and are slowly succeeding.Decent pay, not the best given the current economic climate but, job security is good so you decide what is worth more.
