A genuinely good place to work
Senior Consultant (Current Employee) - Farringdon, Greater London - 7 December 2020
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedJameson Legal is certainly not your typical recruitment company and by that, I mean there isn't any silly pressure to hit KPIs, and micro-management also does not take place. Whilst there are targets and expectations, this is all done in a very adult manner and you're given the time, trust and space to develop your market/desk. Ultimately, everyone is pushing in the same direction and there is also a great deal of flexibility when it comes to WFH. Even small things like booking annual leave and putting expenses through are swift processes without any headaches. On the social side, bi-weekly drinks are commonplace (more often that not, funded by the company) and of course a paid for summer and Xmas party. An annual trip abroad is also part of the package (provided a certain target is met). All in all, a solid place to work. Also helps that most of the people are either ex-lawyers or have studied law which provides credibility externally but also a lot of internal know-how. Furthermore, the company has a totally global outlook with offices also in Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi and a tie-up with a smaller company in Australia.

Fast paced, busy, ever changing and exciting place to work!
Support Staff (Current Employee) - Remote working - 6 December 2020
Although the pace of work is always fast and demanding the challenges the work poses particularly as the companies grows both in size and locations is exciting to follow. I have seen the company go from strength to strength over the years and always been treated fairly and with respect by both management and fellow employees. Any issues have been dealt with quickly and resolved professionally. Hardest part of the job, particularly since home working, is switching off from the work and allowing a more sensible work-life balance than is sometimes encountered!
Pros
Flexibility, varied role, ever-changing and exciting.
Cons
Work-Life balance sometimes difficult to switch off (particularly at home)

A rewarding and collaborative environment
Associate Director (Current Employee) - London. - 6 December 2020
Many recruitment agencies have a bad rep for their toxic culture, poor ethics and discretionary commission schemes. Jameson Legal is a breath of fresh air. All consultants work collaboratively together; everyone within the business is treated with respect in a non-hierarchical setting; and targets and rewards are clearly communicated and obtainable. Jameson Legal embraces an entrepreneurial spirit and all suggestions are listened to. You are a genuinely valued member of the business and will be supported in achieving your goals.
Pros
Great team spirit. Transparent commission structure.
Cons
None.

Unfortunately recruitment is a sector that is naturally competitive and often cut-throat however Jameson Legal do their best to make the culture as collaborative and friendly as possible. The team in general are all very personable, down to earth people and do a great job for their clients and candidates. Great work Jameson Legal!
Pros
Excellent management & colleagues
Cons
Long hours

Rational and mature
Consultant (Former Employee) - London - 3 December 2020
Jameson Legal is a good place to work in a demanding industry. The management are rational (not that common in recruitment) and consultants with massive egos are frowned upon and tend to leave, which is refreshing.

Hard work rewarded
Consultant (Former Employee) - Farringdon, Greater London - 2 December 2020
Recruitment is a tough industry but you get out of it what you put in. Jameson Legal is a far more ethical business than many in the industry and results come with effort. Management always happy to discuss new ideas/initiatives but there has to be a business case.
Pros
Good bonus structure, whole company international trips when goals reached
Cons
Can be hard work

Toxic Work Culture
Consultant (Former Employee) - Faringdon - 2 January 2020
Hierarchical and toxic work culture, management actively encourage a hostile environment reminiscent of secondary school. Any complaints by those that are below management level are dismissed without consideration or investigation.

Good office culture
Consultant (Former Employee) - London - 9 September 2019
The office is friendly but the pressure is high and there is an expectation to stay behind and work extra hours for no extra pay. Management are kind and professional though and will always listen to concerns.
Pros
Good team solidarity
Cons
Long hours
