We require standard pre-employment checks for all roles of: 5 years of references and right to work.
For Financial Conduct Authority regulated roles, including Sales and Service, we require FCA checks which take place at interview stage and a background check after offer acceptance.
For Management roles we complete a detailed background check and also FCA checks, as above. The enhanced background checks takes place after offer acceptance.
All background checks take 2-6 weeks and will not push back start dates, if they are not yet fully completed.
The background checks are done by HR and take forever
It’s done by the local Masonic lodge
Basic background checks depending on role. Sales includes credit check and 10 years references.
