While Management Struggled to Understand more modern Project scoping they did not understand how to fix bid projects and deliver to results versus making everything hourly and often involving levels of billable hours that were unnecessary and costly to the customer.
billlable utilization issues
Got a variety of experience working in a professional services firm with clients in multiple industries with international assignments. Had great relationship with clients and management.
Experience for working in diverse industries and locations
Insufficient work-life balance
They use your talent and then once no job they put you on the bench and package you with a 1 week pay. This is highway crazy as they hire out their personnel for at least $175 per hour and you who are doing all the work only get about $30 per hour and the people in the office. get the other $145 for doing nothing. Located downtown and headquarter in Wisconsin but it is a cut throat place to work and they take all your contacts and used you dry and then put you out once they have no other use for you. Wish someone had warn me but needed a job and did not see any harm in letting them know my contacts but when I saw how they operate. It is just not fair.

Performed reviews, analysis, write-ups related to Sarbanes-Oxley project, A/P manager's duties. Researched and resolved customer master related issues. Created volume forecast, budgets for a small manufacturing company. I learned to work with different companies, different culture as a consultant. My managers were supportive and at times praised my efforts for a job well done. Most of the team members that I worked with were great. The hardest part of the job was to switch your thoughts, knowledge, and attention from one company to another. The most enjoyable part of the job was the challenge that presented itself by working with different companies.
Challenging, exciting problem solving environment driven to achieving client business process solutions
The typical day, if you could call it that, would include synching with the client a clear understanding of the day / week expectations / objective to the project's goal. The hardest part of the job is obtaining a clear / measurable client goals that are expected to enhance business operations / processes. The most enjoyable part of the job is assisting the client in the achievement of measurable goals of enhanced business processes.
While working at the firm, the philosophy changed which included compensation. Changed from salary to hourly, but only if working on a billed client. This change was made with no warning. Once only hired experienced (8 year minimum) staff then altered the approach to hire entry level. However, still advertised as only experienced staff. Many senior staff left soon after the changes were announced and implemented.
variety of work assignments
no employee loyality, poor compensation for senior staff
