Fun place

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Working as a rider for Just Eat was a fun experience overall. The flexibility of the job and the chance to explore the city on two wheels made it enjoyable. However, it's worth noting that like any customer service role, dealing with some customers could be challenging and occasionally annoying. Despite this, it was a rewarding and dynamic job.

Don’t waste your time

Not work worthy, no phone number to reach help centre only through chat with terrible automated answering, long hours and miles for bad fees. You have to change car every year otherwise is totally damaged

Good side job

Not ideal for full time, wont always get a good hours pay, sometimes a little and sometimes a lot, not something you can rely on, but good job for part time and a little extra pocket money.

Fun

Lots of deliveries to be expected you wouldn’t know where you are going until you were told but that’s the beauty of it, you got to see different areas plus the smell of the delicious food would linger in your car!

Pros

Free meals

Cons

Petrol money was not included

Fun workplace

Good money, weekly pay, it’s a job without manager and fixed shift, you can go out when ever you want to earn some money. Good waiting time also from restaurants make you earn more

Decent as a side job

Wouldn’t make your full time job but is good for a side hustle on top of your main job if you’re looking extra money. Pros- own boss, choose the shifts that suit you, make about £7 a delivery sometimes. Cons (if you’re doing it in a car)- car mileage will rocket, car wear and tear, more money on fuel.

2 Years working Just Eat

Money: Very LowYou should not make this your main income source.Just Eat have progressively lowered how much you make per delivery since lockdown - where after fuel, insurance, vehicle wear and tear, you are almost being paid nothing.Work: Mostly Non-Existent (after lockdown lifted)I have regularly sat in my car in city centre for 30-60 minutes waiting to be assigned an order. Deliveries have decreased significantly since lockdown lifted, and just eat seems over staffed with drivers.Shifts: FairIf you schedule correctly on the app, Just eat will give you 8-12 hours a week on your chosen days and timesIt’s best to do this on a e-bike or mopedIf you do it in a car your:-Car mileage will skyrocketCar value will go down with each delivery (mileage)Car wear and tear will be super highFuel cost will be highInsurance cost will be highSummary: Since just eat lowered their pay per delivery and being over staffed you end up REALISTICALLY making £5-8 per hour AFTER fuel, insurance, vehicle wear and tearNot worth it.

Good as an extra income

Good payed trips but too few shifts per week, otherwise not bad. Too many drivers is employed at the same time, which make people left with just couple of shifts per week.

I am working alone in the road, all workers are in the same situation, we makes friends in the road.

Just eat not pay bad wages if you compare with other delivery companies. Not is true when they say you work when you want. The schedule come in different times than you need to work in different times or lost the schedule.Almost you get only 4 hours schedule a day to work . So you can not choice you time to work. because always is different times for you, so you work when they want not when you need . The schedule shows to you very quickly and you can not take times, just 4 hours a day, same times you schedule 8 hours. Many days I don’t get nothing in all day ( zeroooo time hours to work). You need to check all day and night to get times to work. It is very frustration, I am trying to work full time , but it is impossible because I can not schedule full time job every day. So I need to work with other company as well. I wish to work only with Just eat, but I can not schedule full time hours every days, so in my opinion it is impossible to work only fir Just Eat.

Pros

Wages is good

Cons

Schedule to work is Difficult to get it.

Decent side job

Not a bad job for a student if you enjoy the movement. Can understand why it would not be great full-time, but as a part-time job I found it pretty decent.

Delivery driver

Money has continued to drop, double cheap orders, app freezing, to many drivers with multiple accounts so the normal worker has no chance, what you have to understand is that it costs you, upto £1per hr for delivery insurance, then fuel, so alot of the time depending where you stay it's under minimum wage

Awesome

Really nice staff and timing is very flexible to work during weekdays and weekends. I definitely recommend to apply for future job openings and experience the work here.

Own boss

Work when you want, pay can be better sometimes, but you can pick and choose your shifts with your availability. Sometimes not sketch the wear and tear on your car.

Explore area

While working for justeat as a delivery driver, I can explore the area. They are also paying good money a part of that they really care about their employees .

Flexible and fun

Job gives you what you put in, work hard and get paid decent money, fits around you're lifestyle as you self employed, you learn on the job which hotpots get you most orders

Great, sometimes busy enough

It's a great place to work, you are in your car, waiting for orders where you want and when you want, You have the opportunity to pause your shift if you want. You can grab shifts as many as You like, for all day, if you fast enough to catch and in open runs. But be aware, that not every day is the same , sometimes you work for minimum wage or less after expenses, sometimes you can get a really decent wage.

It's Alright as far as Basic delivery jobs are.

Worked for just eat for a few months and tbh if you put in the effort you can get a alright pay check at the end of the week. Unfortunately with the way the job works its impossible to get the higher efficiency which leads to better bonuses and its clearly set up that way so that you work hard but are always just shy of the mark. Would recommend for a part time gig full time is just not worth it as you put in 40 hours on your availability but only get 20 - 25 hours due to them blindly hiring anyone.

Decent part time job

Get to pick your own hours and the money can be good (if busy). Support can be a hit or miss but usually pull through in the end. Would definitely consider this if looking for some extra cash.

Love the work but its below minimum wage

Love the work but the pay is well below the minimum wage as they claim its above its not after taking all your cost out your left with nothing they make millions but pay us penny's if you want to do this full time DONT part time is ok but I make more in warehouse doing just 2 days then what make delivering for a full week

Pros

Your own boss freedom to pick own shift

Cons

Really low pay

Not bad but not great

Can be very up and down. Too many drivers, not enough parking spots. Can only work in one area. No guarantee of earnings. Only get jobs when you are on a shift. Those are the cons ProsFlexible. Chose own hours. Pays more than deliveroo.

Pros

Flexible

Cons

No guarantee of earnings
