On your own
Real Estate Agent (Former Employee) - Downtown Los angeles - 12 May 2022
They will assign you a mentor who never picks up your calls and can’t guide you. They don’t care about you unless you have clients. The training is mediocre it’s equivalent to Coldwell banker. Overall if you have lots of business the commissions caps are good!

Check your splits before working for this company.
Real Estate Agent (Former Employee) - Frederick, MD - 27 April 2022
Was difficult in the way I got paid. 30% to broker and if your on a team that's another 50% of your commission. That leaves you with less than 30% of your work gone just by being with the company. Pay attention to what you get for that split.

Wonderful place to learn and grow!
Real Estate Agent - Independent Contractor (Former Employee) - Dallas-Fort Worth, TX - 13 March 2022
I learned so much from my time at KW. The people do want to see you succeed. Training and resources were abundant for new agents, and there was always someone more than happy to help if you needed it.
Pros
Training & Good People
Cons
Lack of Benefits

Positive work environment
Licensed Real Estate Agent (Current Employee) - Nashville, TN - 22 February 2022
Working in real estate can be very rewarding and offer a lot of benefits. You must make your own routine and determine what will create success for yourself.

positive culture and helpful co workers
Real Estate Agent (Former Employee) - Lafayette, LA - 18 February 2022
make phone calls to client base to see if they know of anyone looking to buy/sell properties. market yourself and properties on social media conduct showings/open houses when needed work culture is great. training for new agents could be better. lots of information given but being told is different from being shown. hardest part of job is lead generation. everyone knows multiple realtors.
Pros
culture, work life balance, can make money
Cons
no benefits, can be discouraging if you cant lead generate

KW is fine. You are an independent contractor, so be that as it is.
Real Estate Agent (Former Employee) - Amarillo, TX - 2 February 2022
It fine. Very expensive broker. I left because I did not feel that the broker was worth the cost of staying there. Lots of money for little compensation.

Flexible schedule and business cards.
Real Estate Agent (Current Employee) - Princeton, NJ - 28 January 2022
Most likely won't make any money first 6 months. If you have cash flow from another source you can succeed. If you have to pay for everything. You will be working for free, unless you happened to know someone who will be selling a house. I think that's why 88% of new real estate agents give up within 2 years.
Pros
Free printers, office space to meet clients.
Cons
No pay until you sell something.

Best Real Estate company to launch your career
Real Estate Agent (Current Employee) - McLean, VA - 12 January 2022
KW gives you all the tools and support you need to succeed. Their training and company Culture is second to none. My Market Center had daily trainings covering a wide range of topics from lead generation, contracts, mastering open house, sales etc. It is always good to keep in mind that it is a commission only based job. Income is limitless if you put the work into it.
Pros
Training, management, flexibility, positive attitude of most agents.
Cons
No Benefits - commission base only.

Decent place to work. Good work-life balance.
Transaction Coordinator/Real Estate Agent (Former Employee) - Rockwall, TX - 7 December 2021
You can learn a lot if you talk to the right people. In my position, I stay pretty busy, but have a good work-life balance. Overall, there is a good culture here.
Pros
Good work-life balance.
Cons
No medical benefits, 401K, etc. because you are essentially self-employed.

Great workplace where someone is always willing to help
Real Estate Agent (Current Employee) - Cincinnati, OH - 22 November 2021
Great company that gives you the tools to grow your business. There is a lot of technology to take advantage of but it's important to be pro active and search for the benefits within the company. It's what you make of it
Pros
Lots of events
Cons
Benefits

Meh
Residential Real Estate Agent (Current Employee) - Overland Park, KS - 20 October 2021
This is an overpromise underdeliver company. I think each office is different depending on who runs it. Technology has been horrible since day one. Fees are high, support is low. Other brokerages offer so much more without nickel and diming you to death.

Good company
Real Estate Agent (Current Employee) - Fort Worth, TX - 30 September 2021
It’s ok overall. There are no benefits and you are a 1099 employee. Monthly bills are higher than other companies. There are some nice agents that are always willing to help you succeed.
Pros
It’s ok
Cons
No insurance

Fun place
Real Estate Agent (Current Employee) - Seattle, WA - 6 August 2021
Great place to work you just have to hustle hard as it is all commission based pay. The company split of 70/30 is really nice. They also have multiple teams in the office to join if you need extra assistance

Fun work environment
Licensed Real Estate Agent (Current Employee) - Sarasota, FL - 29 June 2021
Love it amazing culture and great resources to help jump start your career, you do have to reach a commission cap to be able to earn full commission and that is the only downside

Not so good
Real Estate Agent (Former Employee) - Dallas, TX - 25 May 2021
Lots of work & very little pay. Most agents make less than 30,000 yr. Most agents don't make very much! Lots of money out of pocket to just stay in business. It sucks you in thinking you will be making big money- but only the brokers making most of it with splits & fees.
Pros
Flexible
Cons
Long hours, if don't sell no money, Lots of fees every month

Great first job and something that can be worth doing for the rest of your life.
Estate Agent (Current Employee) - Polokwane, Limpopo - 20 May 2021
Keller Williams Realty is the best place to work if you are sure that you want to be an estate agent. You have a lot of resources at your disposal. Friendly co-workers. A happy and positive work environment. The commission earning potential is better than any other estate agency.
Pros
Higher commission than other estate agencies.
Cons
No salary

Great Company
Licensed Real Estate Agent (Former Employee) - Missouri - 13 May 2021
Overall You have to put in it what you want out of it. Being a real estate agent isn't an easy job and its not one of those stay at home work around your kids schedule type of jobs. You have to work really, really hard to get to that point. But at keller Williams there always seemed to be someone there willing to help you.
Pros
Always help
Cons
License dues

Supportive office
Real Estate Agent (Current Employee) - Arlington, VA - 24 April 2021
The people in the office are very supportive. Great atmosphere. However, with COVID people are just starting to come back in. Pay is decent, although depending on the transaction, the commissions can dramatically decrease with fees.

You will do well if you are very self motivated. Real Estate is a tough industry to succeed in but the management team does a great job with providing tools to succeed.
Pros
Good support from management.
Cons
No benefits as an independent contractor.
