Great place, but still room for improvement
Overall, it's a nice place with a bright future but still needs improvements. The company is located in a nice place with a beautiful environment with friendly staff. Nice and clean place with a good breakfast and free on-site parking. The company is growing and has a bright future. New international staff is getting hired which improves the company's culture.Although a lot could still be improved and some equipment needs renewing. More could get invested in making the company sustainable and reducing waste. Also, the workload could get very high in the laboratory and more staff are required.

A great place for ambitious people
I've worked here twice now, I came back after a 2-year break to a new position. I enjoy working at KNC and like that there are lots of very experienced people to learn from, the work is interesting and the opportunities for advancement are abundant.I would (and have) recommend to friends.

Best company I've worked for
The first thing I want to say is that everyone who works there is such a pleasure to work with, everyone is always willing to help and are just lovely people overall. I couldn't ask for better management either, whenever I have had troubles whether it be work or personal related, they always offer a listening ear and try to help where they can.I work with the marketing team and I love the way I can input ideas and be creative with what I do. The workload does get busy sometimes as all jobs do but I'd say this is the only flaw. Either way however, management are always checking on our workload to make sure we're not overwhelmed.I'd honestly recommend this company 100 times over.

A good time to be part of Kendal Nutricare
I have worked for KNC for a little over 3 years now, and have to say it's one of the better places I have worked. Alot of hard work and investment have been put in place over the last few years to make this company grow, and now we see a massive recruitment drive for 7 day working as the order books fill up, this is great news for employment opportunities and the area.Management are fair and flexible.Clean working enviornment.Machines and equipment are well maintained, and nothing is left to deteriorate. It's a good time to be part of KNC, as future opportunities to grow within the company will be available to the right candidates.Highly Recommended

Salaries below-market standard, good middle-management
Polar pros and cons to this company. Hard to summarise effectively. All on-site salaries below a certain degree of seniority are drastically below market standards for similar roles, due to constant penny pinching and money-saving ventures. There are a staggering number of resignations for such a small company - which is quite indicative of the working environment. Senior roles are sometimes advertised to the general public, but are often granted internally based on favouritism rather than ability. Middle-management are generally very friendly and supportive, but become less and less so the higher up the chain you go. The CEO is intimately involved with on-site day-to-day operations and puts on a friendly face, but holds himself at an almost clinical distance from his employees and is prone to aggressive outbursts; having such drastic personality changes means that he is painted in a very untrustworthy light. The site itself is outdated. Isolated repairs and improvements do little to combat the fact that the entire site hasn't been properly updated or refitted for decades. Invasive pests and grime can be found everywhere, and the cleaners (what few there are) always seem overwhelmed and overworked. However, there are some good aspects. Free on-site parking, shower facilities, a good breakfast in the canteen, camaraderie between lower-level employees. And of course, the location is beautiful - what better place to live and work than the edge of the Lake District? The location of the site almost makes it easy to forget the deep-rooted flaws of this company. Almost.
