Pay needs reviewing not only KMPT but across the NHS. However there are other benefits that come as added competitive incentives that are not available in Private Health care providers, which resulted in my choice to work for and remain in NHS.
Pros
Pension, Ssp, holidays, nursery, home-work life balance
Cons
Higher Band posts promotion is on strictly who you know and ethnicity

Pretty good place to work, supervision every 6 weeks to monitor progress and identify your needs in the job. Also group supervision weekly, constant involvement by management etc. Has potential to be a stressful environment but it is handled very well. The people are excellent

KMPT is an unfair and corrupt organisation. Lazy management earn ridiculous money doing very little. This is a scandal considering it is tax payers money. The Trust is unfair and discriminates.

If you want to work in an innovative and progressive work place, then this is for you. If you’re willing to work hard for the benefit of service users then it’s a fantastic place to work. It won’t tolerate poor practice, laziness or bad attitudes but if you have a good heart with integrity then I couldn’t recommend it more!!
Pros
Innovative and always striving to improve
Cons

a typical day at work would be assisting nurses and staff nurses in provide care, independence, 1 to 1 talks, medicines, food and socializing to help patients regain confidence and trust as well as information in what they could do to have a better life after they leave hospital management worked well, some days it was hard due to managers being away for training or meetings but as a staff team we managed well and was able to spread the work load evenly and sufficiently the most enjoyable part of the job is seeing patients completely turn their life around and maintain a great life after their rehabilitation

Within healthcare there are multiple challenges. Within this trust there is a definite requirement for balance between management and good practices. At times it can feel that there is an imbalance but this feeds into politics. The trust as a whole functions well and is supportive to staff during difficult periods.

I worked for kmpt at Littlebrook hospital in Dartford. Cleaning for mental health patients can be stressful and some wards were more stressful than others. Staff generally very nice but facilities management pretty hopeless and the wards were well kept mainly due to hard work of the cleaners.
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
Sometime dangerous patients

Ended up leaving due to poor management. Even put in complaint for it to be shunned and dismissed never felt so let down and under valued in a job. Management seem to stick together and not worry about staff complaints no matter that they have you in tears

Bullying is rife amongst staff, in particular from management. A lot of dishonesty and the most consistently incompetent organisation I have ever worked for. Do not recommend to anyone to put themselves through trying to work there.
Pros
Pay is higher than average for the industry
Cons
Unhealthy and unpleasant bullying culture
