Good Place to work Plenty of work Friendly staff Lovely service users. Helpful office staff, most would sort out any problems with rotas etc quite quickly.

Care Co-ordinator (Current Employee) - BR3 6QH - 5 February 2019
I currently work as a Care Co-ordinator at Kentish. A typical day at work is when we start with a staff meeting to discuss any issues from the day before and we then allocate anything outstanding among the staff. We send out the work for the carers and also check everyone has the correct work and information. The management is very understanding and proactive, we have regular reviews to discuss our career progression and the workplace environment is friendly but hard-working. I also deal with training and ensuring all the staff are up to date. The hardest part of the job is covering work due to last minute cancellations. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with my colleagues who are supportive and really helpful and provide great training. I also enjoy working on the marketing and social media side of things. Every 3 months we have an event in the office where carers can come in for cakes, tea and other treats, on these occasions we provide the carers who attend with important information or training and discuss any ideas/issues that have come up. We have introduced a Suggestions Box in the office for carers to write their comments or suggestions anonymously. I find that management and our manager are very fair and kind. We treat our carers with respect and try to accommodate them as much as possible if they need to take time off work etc. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a great and rewarding job in the homecare sector.

An Agency that truly cares!
Care Coordinator (Former Employee) - Beckenham - 19 December 2018
I spent nearly one year working as a coordinator and trainer at Kentish Homecare. Kentish have a very strong culture of investing in both their carers and office staff with regards to training so that their service users can get the best care. Everything is meticulously followed through and the management are very compassionate towards their staff. Working within this industry of course has numerous challenges regarding staffing, sickness and dealing with service users who have such diverse needs. Kentish deals with these always in the most professional manner. Due to changes in my circumstances I had to leave. I am still in touch with everyone at Kentish and have developed great long lasting friendships. I had the most rewarding time working within the Kentish family. Thank you!

Very unprofessional agency

I found this company extremely unprofessional. Incorrect payments, late rotas, incorrectly paid mileage. The company will have you doing things that are not in your contract, working non-contracted hours and lack of communication.
I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Staff verbalise that they are unhappy working there and they are not valued.

12 October 2018Our company has been in operation for over 30 years with many members of staff who are committed to the organisation. Our staff retention is higher than the national average, we would not retain our work force if we treated them as mentioned about. In every job you will find staff who feel unhappy and undervalued, indeed most of us feel that way from time to time, but a quick conversation with the office staff would be the way to resolve any issues. We do value and train our workforce and never ask them to complete activities which are outside their contract. We will however discuss the above with our work force at our forthcoming Halloween cake day and Christmas party which we organise for our staff. We do recognize this employee as very few staff leave us, this employee was with us for a short period of time and it was quickly apparent that they would struggle to (i) cope with full time work, (ii) to put theory to practice and (ii) to retain information. If you do share our organisation values of reliability, caring, compassionate and respectful then you only need to contact us to find out how professional we really are. If however you are unreliable, unwilling to learn and develop and then clearly we are not the company for you.

I have really good atmosphere at work. I always have fun. My office is always kind and really patient. Family which I work with is a great place to learn new tasks.
