What is the best part of working at the company?There are no best parts working for this company whatsoever. They do not pay the travel rate they say in the interview, even when asked to confirm the rate of travel pay, they lied. I found that out in my first month's pay.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?You're left to your own devices, unreliable when you need advice, usually no answer on the out of hours number...What is the work environment and culture like at the company?The care staff, with the odd exception were great, it's a shame about the company they work for.What is a typical day like for you at the company?What started off great, turned to unhappiness and disappointment.

Supportive colleagues and Management

When I was about to start working for Key2Care Ltd, I was a bit scared as to how the whole thing will turn out like working with new colleagues and new clients with different care needs... the feeling then wasn't funny.. but when I started working, it was a different thing entirely from what was going on in my head.. The team are very supportive and they helped me conquered my fears.God bless the management and care team.

Poor senior staff

Good: The residents are lovely, you can have challenging days but this is part of the job. Other healthcare assistants are great, supportive and willing to help each other. Training was good and informative - it didn't take long to arrange a shadow shift which was helpful, especially if you're new to care and/or the company. Bad: The senior staff are horrible. They do not listen to you when you raise concerns. They are horrible if you do not answer your phone on your days off. They do not care if you are busy on your day off and expect to be told what you are doing. They can get funny with you if you don't do overtime. I also did not appreciate the method of contact the senior staff used, although I have not seen anyone else have this particular experience. The amount of times I cried because of the way I was treated by senior members - I will never go back because of these reasons.Although the shadow shift was good and quick to arrange, it was a 'good' introduction. It was clear some duties were not explained well to all members of staff - meaning this was incorrectly taught to me. Which meant senior staff would talk to me about particular duties being incorrect - however, this could have been solved if senior management had properly trained staff in this area.


Other staff (non senior staff) and residents.


Long hours, not always guaranteed a break, senior/higher staff.
