We specialise in working with children who are neurodivergent and many of our students are autistic or have diagnoses such as ADHD, PDA, Sensory Processing Disorder, dyslexia, dyspraxia etc. Some of our students attend mainstream schools, a very small proportion attend special schools and an increasing number of our students are not able to access mainstream or special schools and so we provide their education funded either privately by parents, the child’s named school or by the Local Authority. The majority of our students have an EHCP.
We are passionate about providing an environment where our students feel understood and accepted and we know how important it is to spend time building genuine relationships based on trust. We help advocate for our students’ needs and build our students’ ability and confidence to advocate for themselves.
We are a neurodiversity affirming organisation meaning that we see neurodiversity as natural differences in how people’s brains process the world. We don’t see being neurodivergent as something negative and we do not see neurodivergent differences as deficits. We believe that neurodivergent ways of learning, communicating, socialising and processing the world are as valid as neurotypical ways and that it is never acceptable to expect a neurodivergent person to hide their true selves or believe that their way of doing things is wrong.
We actively encourage applications from those with direct or indirect lived experience of being neurodivergent.
