Loved it there learnt a lot of transferable skills build up my confidence in dental nursing m, typical day you change into uniform sign in and go to allocated department and start your day.Management there to guide you also have classroom days as well as practical learning
No jobs after training
Bad culture among exec team, stressful working environment at lower band levels staff not collaborative colleagues unhappy and strong bullying culture quite hard to cope.
If you have a child nursery in the site available
The work place, environment and bad culture allowing for bullying behaviour
Amazing. Highly supportive & trusting manager. Job interesting & moved around campuses a lot. Got stuck in with various jobs & liaison activities. Could be very quiet or very busy so at times challenging but used quiet times to catch up before lecture deadlines! I was in a small office but surrounding & other campus staff mostly helpful and welcoming. Learned so much & did additional MS Office courses. Freedom around my working hours.
Training, Support, Flexible, varied and hands on
Was only a contract :( Not able to stay
I joined the trust as a MDT Co ordinator and then went onto work in a variety of Bank positions picking up some good knowledge on how a busy hospital works. Dependent on your role you could be working with patient data, dealing with patients face to face/over the phone or providing administration support to clinical staff. You can always expect to be busy.
Working a varied day and meeting many different people.
Long commute home if train services cancelled/delayed
I am really impressed working for the trust but would like to see a progression for me which is not happening as I expected. I thought about career progression, but could not see it happening. I wish you progress as you work with them
Sometimes long hours as you wish

MY typical day at work is a tedious one where you use computer to extract all the consultant appointment on weekly basis, using PIMS system and electronic data management. I print all the clinic report a week ahead of the appointment. Using my numerical knowledge, I will convert the number that is assessible through our network where the notes are culled and sent to consultants. The ones that cannot be fetched can be search through EDM and requested which reaches us in a day or two from the storage located outside the office and sent to us. These notes are prepped within a week and readily available for consultation to KINGS college, Princess royal, Orpington hospital, Queen Mary Sidcup and Beckenham beacon hospital and other subsidiary hospitals. The hardest part of the job is culling the notes from the library where you have to rack and get them from their numerical orders. The most enjoyable part of it is putting in the necessary information in the system before sending them out. I also handle incoming calls from all these hospital and secretary calls, if the notes are not received on time by the due date and sending off urgent notes for emergencies and prepping them before sending them off to their various department

Good environment in which to work but so troubled by poor management that development and growth is poor. Short sighted people development, rather lose staff than work hard to keep them. Lots of meetings to discuss issues but little done about them. Top heavy management but no true leadership. Many lovely people working there. Transport network good, parking not so good but available, hospital shuttle between sights. Nice area, heavy population. Could be a really great hospital but neglected by the KCHUFT
Nice environment, good transport, people
Kings CH Foundation Trust, not best employers
