Extremely stressful and not treated like a human

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Worked as a HCA in an elderly care ward. Us HCAs were treated like we were not people by senior staff. we had our breaks reduced during covid. We didn't even have our own break room we used to share a breakroom with the covid ward!.Nurses didn't care about patients and left us HCAs do all the work for them. The shift patterns were inhumane, 12 and half hours shifts but mixed between day and night in one week. I AM GLAD I AM FREE FROM THAT PLACE.

Productive and fun place to work

What is the best part of working at the company?King's is the best place I've worked with yet. They'll support you so much that you feel already a part of them in the matter of days or weeks of joining them. They have the buddy system, mentors, team leaders, proactive PDNs etc., who are always ready to support your goals. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?King's has everything needed to work with and more. They have a regularly scheduled online meeting during which employees get to talk to the CEO, which made me feel like working with a CEO whose door is always open for concerns to be addressed. And they walk the talk. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Busy, friendly, respect to patients and colleagues, teamwork. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Working with colleagues who understand and perform safely to ensure the satisfaction of our patients.
