Fast pace that is demanding incongruent to their staff ratios. They expect to do more with a few heads.
Staff Nurse (Current Employee) - Ruskin Wing - 8 January 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedPoorly managed. Not uniform with other areas. Other areas are managed well, like their staff rooms, no designated sleeping quarters for night staff compared to other trusts, some are just physically there but not doing the work. Poor when it comes to resolution and solving root cause of the problems (e.g. infection control, broken communication with staff, etc.). Resources are being wasted.
Pros
Supportive when it comes to staff problems
Cons
Poor solutions with staff problems Slow in finding solutions

Great place to learn, teaching quality excellent
Band 5 Staff Nurse (Former Employee) - denmark hill - 21 June 2021
A really good place to learn and be familiar with the latest evidence based practice. Technology in health really good, safety is a priority. If you want to learn and put in practice your nursing skills supported by technology and autonomy Kings is the right place to be. Nursing in Kings is tough job but people and your colleagues make everything easier. Not everyone will be a sweet candy as in any other job. I found working for Kings College as the best experience I had in nursing. Please apply do not hesitate to gain the experience to work for one of the best Hospitals in London.
Pros
learning, training, nursing skills, Technology, people, values
Cons
shortage in nursing workfoce, move to other wards constantly

Very poor management
Staff Nurse (Former Employee) - Princess Royal University Hospital - 11 May 2020
Very poor management. Lazy staff could get on with their customs...Every time I have raised a concern about some staff members I felt like it was just brushed behind the door.
