King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Employee Review
Crazy decisions
Medical Secretary (Former Employee) - Orpington, Greater London - 23 September 2023
Worked at the PRUH for 20 years and saw a lot of changes - all for the worse. Too many managers, who do not understand what the people on the ground do and make nonsensical decisions. Secretaries are treated like dogs' bodies and their skills are not appreciated or even acknowledged. Not worth it unless you are happy to pick up anything any other department wants to throw at you with no support from your manager and end up feeling like you are going out of your mind.
Pros
Annual leave
Cons
Stress, lack of support, general depressing state of the NHS, low morale.

Great place to work
Medical Secretary (Former Employee) - Orpington, Greater London - 1 January 2023
I had the pleasure of working here for around 12 months, one of the best places in terms of colleagues. Rewarding post both in terms of patient care and treatment. Privileged position to ensure smooth running of the department: I worked in Dermatology, it was a well run department. Only reason I left was due to the M25 traffic with journey taking 2.5 hours sometimes each way.
Pros
Great people to work with and for
Cons
Journey could be challenging

I haven’t observed anything yet, I’m just trying to know if I can go ahead and work with them. But so far so good they’ve kept clear communication with me are very friendly.
