Warm and friendly place to work, deep sense of belonging and pride
Hospitality (Current Employee) - Bournemouth, Dorset - 8 December 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedWe have a terrific Manager and team in the Care Home I work in. I feel fully appreciated as a person and in the performance of my role. The working environment is absolutely lovely, and the Manager's door is always open. She is very understanding and encouraging. She invokes a strong sense of pride and loyalty. The company itself too is a terrific company to work for.
Pros
Lovely surroundings

Fantastic management and staff, friendly place to work, made me feel welcome from the first day, every one is willing to help when and if needed.
Senior Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Halesowen, West Midlands - 8 December 2023
Fun days to be had with the staff and residents, some residents can become challenging from time to time, however, we all pull together as a team. I have learnt a lot, within a short space of time about a team should work and how we all rally together to get things done. The management team are amazing and supportive, easy to talk to and willing to help with any concerns. The workplace is multi cultural and we all get along as one big family which is lovely. Is having to have eyes everywhere. the residents, everyday is different, no two days are the same.

It is like working at home.
Support Worker (Current Employee) - Brackley, Northamptonshire - 2 December 2023
A typical day at work is having to meet with your friendly staff working in the same unit. It becomes more or less like you are at home. Each day comes with new experience and having to learn from such experience makes me feel happy and fulfilled. The management is amazing, always on top of every situation. Managing the staff, residents and materials in a professional manner. Management is very efficient in their dealings with staff and residents. They helped to promote a healthy culture of love, efficiency and above all professional ethics of which the home is noted for. The challenging part of the job is in the reporting of everything you have done and the limited number of the devices. You may have done personal care to a resident but with no device with you, you intend to forget in details what you actually did when you eventually have a device. I suggest that the device should be more. There should adequate training on the reporting system. The most enjoyable part of the job is having personal care of a resident. I feel happy having to care for a resident and dressing him up for the day.

Lovely place to work
Receptionist/Administrator (Current Employee) - Halesowen, West Midlands - 1 December 2023
Gower Gardens is a very friendly place to work. Everyone works hard to ensure the residents are well cared for and happy, which includes making it easy for friends and relatives to visit. My job is part time at the weekend which means that reception is manned 7 days a week so that weekend visiting is made easier.

Good team player's
Senior Support Worker(nights) (Current Employee) - Brackley - 1 December 2023
The day shifts are very busy especially in the morning. The staff members on the floor are increased since I start there. Seniors or nurses doing staff allocation and they have responsibilities to follow up. Management changing very often, not good communication between management and staff. Very often need to chase up some information about residents' conditions as missed information during handover. Night staff struggling with staffing number's; very high expectations especially on dementia unit but not enough staff to keep residents safe. The most difficult and stressful is to work with people with dementia as there are few people who in my opinion, needs to go to different care environment(too much aggression)
Pros
Not aloud to have a hot meal at work. You can order just a few sandwiches. if any food left, not aloud to eat it but need to put in the bin. Too much waist.
