Excellent and satisfying for career development and rewards. Great reputational bagde to have.
Oracle Financials Functional Consultant (Former Employee) - London - 28 September 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Professional excellence and environment What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Higher expectations means constant need and desire to self motivate and improve oneself, always on toes to meet work demands and training demands, certification and other, travelling away from home to clients quite involving. Feels like a self-employed within a large organisation required to take charge of your development and find projects without which no 'Utilzation points' to achieve favourable appraisal. Good environment for fresh graduates. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Excellent and professionally well resourced for excellent career development What is a typical day like for you at the company? Busy and rewardingly demanding. Very satisfying

Lots of Learning but Burnout very common with high turnover
Audit Associate (Current Employee) - Plymouth, Devon - 23 September 2023
ACA graduate qualification is well structured and you learn a lot (they are changing this currently though). Hours and workload put on graduates is very high and unrealistic and dropout rate is high with little effort put into recruiting new grads, so the workload on existing ones is worsening. At the end of the qualification almost all staff leave due to retention bonus being very poor (you do not receive any bonuses through your graduate years under the promise that you receive an appropriate bonus when you qualify but this was less than £5k pre tax and £3k has a clawback on it if you leave within 2 years). Remote working is advertised but it is not encouraged - rules are strict but non-sensical, you have to be present 2 days a week - but if you have to be on the client site 2 days these do not count as your in-person days and often leads to management questioning you.

Fun place to work at if you have a permanent contract
Telephony Analyst (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 18 September 2023
It was great, some customers were a bit rude but that's expected in any CS role. The money was really good and managers were nice and so we're colleagues. The only bad thing was they could end your contract anytime and just give you a week notice.

Fun, Supported
Senior Associate (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 14 September 2023
The team was fun, can be stressful when meeting multiple deadlines but feel supported by my colleagues. Good locations. Hopefully our bonus won't be impacted after the new release of other Big 4 firms.

Long hours, bad pay
Auditor (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 10 September 2023
Long hours and bad pay, good for the CV if you're willing to do boring, stressful work for 3.5 years while doing exams on top of that. If you're smart and up for the challenge then its a great opportunity

None
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) - Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear - 7 September 2023
- toxic culture - lot of workload - most managers are blame pushers - not inclusive office - limited opportunity to grow - good pay though slightly higher the market

Highly pressurised to pass exams
Graduate Trainee (Former Employee) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire - 7 September 2023
Unhappy with lack of support when having to undertake relentless exams. Not recommended if you do not enjoy accounting. Wish I had known about the pressure in advance.

Good WLB, Outsourced Workers Make Work a Drag
Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) - Remote - 31 August 2023
I work at KPMG and the software development cycle here is poor to say the least. There is a lack of well educated developers and they are outsourced to cheaper parts of the world. The outcome is having the babysit a bunch of amateur who they hire for a 5th of a western persons salary. I understand from KPMG's perspective, but it's a drag to have to educate a bunch of people on basic programming concepts. The good things about it are the job security, the business development people are cool, and there is flexibility.

Good place to work
Tax Assistant Manager (Current Employee) - London - 31 August 2023
KPMG is a great place to work, although I think it depends on the team you work in. My team is very friendly, everyone is really helpful and collaborative. I think the only downside is that the pay is below industry standard and hours can be long.

Good training and experience but long hours and bureaucratic policies
Audit Assistant (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 21 August 2023
Good training and experience but long hours and bureaucratic policies. Good level of support through ACA exams though strict exam policy (2 failures and you're out). Favouritism rife.

Only London
People Leader Assistant (Former Employee) - Canary Wharf, Greater London - 16 August 2023
I worked in the London office and I really enjoyed it. KPMG is a great company to work for in terms of innovation, advancement, fun and the management were very supportive. This review is for that office only. I moved to the Southampton office and it was the most toxic workplace I have ever worked in. I would give it a 1/0 star for every aspect. For your own mental health avoid.
Pros
Great environment with good facilities

Opportunities are second to none, but there is a personal cost to be paid in terms of long hours and mental health.
Associate Director (Former Employee) - London - 10 August 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Working at one of the big 4 opens up unrivalled career and networking opportunities. The pay is good, but you’ll earn it. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? You are working very long hours and can be posted anywhere, living out of a suitcase for extended periods. The work is intensive and lots of people ‘burn-out’. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? I’m simple terms it’s a shark tank. Highly competitive, always watching your back. It is a professional organisation and goes the extra yard for its clients. Its recommendations and reports are respected and valued. You are there to make money for the company. You are only as useful as your last assignment. What is a typical day like for you at the company? You have a brief to deliver in very short time. As you pass the hall to a team brief 40 + new recruits are being mustered every fortnight. One day blurs into another until to get to Friday. You are checking emails constantly even on the weekends. You work for very demanding clients who expect you to conjure up the impossible. You are at the beck and call of clients and partners.

Great start to Finance careers
Auditor (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 5 August 2023
Best start you could have if you want a liftime career in finance. The workload is extensive but you will reap the rewards after a min. 3-5 years of grinding.

Hard but fun
working at KPMG was fun due to people within same intake but there was a clear gap bewtween management and lowe ranks seniors and juniors. I would probably go back if the pay was not way too below the industry average

Analyst (Former Employee) - Pagham - 31 July 2023
The office was nice and atmosphere was great it is just endless working hourrs and constant rpessure to perform beyond reasonable capacity in order not to get bad review.
