Loved the team I worked with
Kiehls KCR (Former Employee) - London - 20 September 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedShame they closed the smaller bouquets in London. Loyal customers that just love the brand and become friends. Worked with a small team, Store manager was fantastic. Just trusted us to do the job which made it enjoyable and we achieved targets and KPI'S. The store manager can made or brake a team so depends who you get. Perks were great had so much face/body cream's Training was good however in group's of people you will always have the gossips/back stabbing etc. Rise above it and enjoy working with your team.
Pros
Brilliant team, Perks, Customers
Cons
High Targets and be deflating

Work job ever
Account Manager (Former Employee) - Nottingham - 5 July 2019
Ysl was one of the worst jobs I have ever done, being made a manager was a dream but it turned out to be a nightmare. I had no respect given to me and got bullied by a staff member and the store I worked in.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
List too long

Most awful workplace ever
Account Manager (Former Employee) - Wrexham - 6 June 2019

Can be a fun place to work!
Assistant Manager (Current Employee) - Bristol, Bristol - 19 May 2019
It can be very fun place to work. But the pay is rubbish!! Everyone is on different rates per hour so it doesn’t matter if your and manager or a part timer you could be on the same hourly rate depending on if you negotiated a decent rate!
The higher management is good but I definitely feel like they have favourited certain people in the region!

job security
Business Manager (Current Employee) - London - 22 January 2019
they hate to fire people and embrace mistakes so be prepared to work alongside some questionable characters but also your own mistakes can be learned from within this environment.
Pros
brand discounts/gratis, no uniform, flexible working hours
Cons
no development, give everything get nothing

Absolutely excellent place to work - this place has helped me build my confidence and skills so much. Whilst the days may be busy, you are surrounded by a network of helpful and friendly people.
There are many benefits and opportunities here, there is always a chance to progress your career even more.

great experience, terrible hours
Assistant Brand Manager (Former Employee) - Seine-Saint-Denis - 30 October 2018
Had an amazing experience and lots of responsibilities.
Hours were largely in excess due to workload.
Nevertheless great leanings and opportunities. Iconic brands and interesting projects.

tough
Beauty Advisor (Current Employee) - Bristol - 8 October 2018
Little flexibility from company but employee expected to be fully flexible and make changes to work reschedule and days off without notice. The Job itself is great but not very well managed and organised, I have come to realise that this is to be expected in retail.

A nightmare
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 14 August 2018
The service is nothing but a salty step by step script you're meant to follow not to loose points with the dreaded Mystery Shopper, it must start with "Welcome to Kiehl's" and nothing but "Welcome to Kiehl's"!
After more scripted lines you'll must be sitting down with customers and performing a gimmicky "consultation" using paper pads, whatever those are, that culminates into the recommendation of the "iconic" items you're meant to sell to everyone regardless of their needs and the questions you just asked them. A lot of theatre and acting involved, quite simple actually, but not so easy as it gets repetitive and feels fake.
Now add a lot of pressure for hitting targets and get customers details, rinse and repeat.
Managers will promote their friends who hire their friends and you'll may find yourself surrounded by colleagues who are related and or flat mates.
It pays better than Bobby Brown, but I wouldn't go back.
Pros
If you're friends with someone there
Cons
It's dreadful
