Great management

Great and supportive management team with some room for careers progress. My area manager and regional were very supportive and had a great professional relationship but unfortunately had to leave after some reductions post pandemic.

Incentives

Never received an incentive won back in the summer after lots of hard work to achieve the expected result . Told not to use company PPE on days off by area manager ( South East) Staff shop is good and was a small perk in working for Loreal luxe in Boots .

Pros

Staff shop

Cons

Only £5 a month towards phone bill despite needing it to produce rota, do e learning etc

Not inclusive or supportive

Management are non existent, you’re chucked on counter with no training or support. They don’t like anyone who’s a bit quirky or different, if you have any tattoos or piercings they ask you to take them out and hide them. If you have any illnesses or extra needs they won’t accommodate them.God forbid you’re ever sick and need a day off or late by 2 mins because they will use that as an excuse to fire you. They money is okay as you get okay commission but your job is not secure.Unless you’re a posh upper class person who walks about in traditional blouse and heels they won’t like you.

Great place to work

Part time vacancy for facilities engineer came to my attention and applied as this was ideal for me as I am a carer for my wife. Great working environment and etc.

Pros

One of my favourite jobs

Had such a great time working on various diff counters loreal is a great company with great benefits they seem to care about their staff on my day we all got a percentage of what the company made each year! Commission was great and the staff sales and allocation were to die for! The training was amazing very formal and always fun.The only thing i would down would be the department stores your working in most of them have HORRENDOUs management and you are forced to sell credit to people all day all long get grief for the silliest things and is sometimes hard to get on with your job from the distraction of the mini hitlers floating around

Pros

Allocation and commission is great

Good staff discount

Over all a good company to work for. Good staff discount and benefits. Good for experience but don’t expect progression. Nice product training. Expect to work long hours. Unrealistic targets. Be contacted on your day off.

Pros

Staff discount and allocation.

Cons

Extremely long hours

Ruthless company

As from September 2020 the company has taken very drastic measures to re-structure. This decision was taken insight of the pandemic, as a result the company left it's whole division waiting weeks with the prospect of redundancys and contract cuts. The company exposed a ruthless side to its operations putting it's employees in impossible situations offering new residuals contracts and a complete lack of empathy.

Pros

Colleagues

Cons

Ruthless

Relaxed atmosphere, but sometimes this can be deceiving

Its quite a nice job. Some easy money i could say. Sometimes it gets really quiet and this might be a problem if u are like me,i dont like not to have anything to do,just to stand around. The people are alright, quite nice i could say. They really care about punctuality and rules obeying. Overall it is a good job tho. Give it a try

Pros

Not much

Cons

Canteen closes at 1

Fantastic job

I totally loved working for them and the products and I have totally missed working in the industry. I always found my area manager to be very supportive. I worked at Birmingham Airport for this company and the only bit of a downside were the 12 hour shifts.

Pros

Free yearly allocation

Cons

12 hour shifts

Good benefits, low pay

Excellent discount and product allowance. Poor pay can be made up by commission but high targets make it difficult. Job is good when busy but very difficult during quite days

Good enviroment

My main duties where collecting, packing, sending orders and checking stock. This would be to small shops or whole stores.

A good place to work

Worked there for 7 years with a fantastic bunch of people, changes have been in place since, but you should still find the core values are there. Stock Control here is very much hands on and based in the DC. Lots of people will be asking you for help, but most of them are nice and approachable. The Management team are level-headed and usually are happy to help you. HS&E here is at the top priority with Safety being the number 1. You must see that they want everyone onsite to be healthy, happy and safe. IF this isn't you norm, then you might find this irritating, but it's only for your benefit.

Pros

Great team, Good support, Goody box every 2 months

Cons

Career progression is limited in the DC, unless you travel to London

Enjoyable place to work..

working there was great my co workers were good people but there was a problem with one permanent employee that routinely verbally attacked me and one day I went back at him and verbally and was let go, without telling my side of the story. No verbal warning or written warning that is the only thing that I would say was wrong, agency workers have no right to defend themselves.

Pros

lots of activities eg fun runs, charity events and disscounted perfumes

Cons

No rights as an agency worker
