Land Sheriffs began its long 25-year history when our CEO had to face the reality of an illegal encampment behind his own home, in the absence of effective support from local council or police, our CEO was prompted to clear the land and move the encampment on, and so the Land Sheriffs was born.

From 1985 – 2004 Land Sheriffs became a successful land eviction specialist, but late 2004 the company decided to move into the security sector full time and so began a new division of Land Sheriffs in 2005 when we secured our first major contract with Network Rail (CTRL) Ltd (now known as Network Rail (High Speed), we have proudly been protecting and providing security solutions NRHS ever since.

Since 2005, and still headquartered in Essex, Land Sheriffs has established itself and an industry leading company with multiple accreditations and awards coupled with an enviable record.

Our successes in the industry has seen us grow organically from a small SME to a medium SME, and importantly we continue to do so without diluting our service to our clients.

Land Sheriffs today is a trusted company with large contracts/partnerships with well-known large blue chip organisations, some of which we have been working with for many years.

We employ over 150 staff from all backgrounds, some with 30+ years working in the security industry through to apprentices starting out on their journey within the security sector we strive to employ the very best staff who meet our expectations.

Our operational team are the most important asset we have, and we strive to have the very best staff, we don’t employ anyone on zero hour contracts and are a living wage employer. Our people are trained to the highest standards and we have many staff who have worked with Land Sheriffs for over 10 years.

Management issues

The job in self was not bad, over the years the quality of the people has diminished dramatically due the poor management decision, bad payment and unappreciation. The ratings of the staff they are not made by the right people, you can do it for yourself, no leader and no communication from you to manager.

Apsolutly shocking company to work for.

What company would you a stupidly high amount for PPE over £500 it’s a joke.

Company are something else really are just money grabbers only bothered about mobile patrol.

Static security is dangerous and were are not given the right tools for the job.

There is know one to contact at night if you have an emergency all but the police and if you do call control room you get told to email the management the next day.

Really shocking for a company like this.
