Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedUnfortunately, this is becoming one of those places that fills its office with people that justify their position with 'good ideas', which are implemented after a round of back patting in the office- but god help an idea that has to be maintained by the person that came up with it. Basic things like a usable staff car park & a safe level area to do vehicle inspections are overlooked in favour of flashy drone footage to post on facebook. It's as if the fleet can drive itself, there are no drivers to look after or worry about. I feel that the high staff turnover of this place has just bread an attitude of 'it doesn't matter because we'll always get someone who'll do it anyway'. Pay is weekly, though no-one is completely sure how exactly it's calculated as there is no clocking in- there was initially but nobody wanted to maintain the idea, as mentioned before. The fleet is 'just' maintained to keep it on the road, small vehicle problems can go on for weeks/months/year as they're not seen as a priority because the wheels still turn. If you keep out the way, do the best you can without being noticed, you'll do alright here. Or perhaps you have big ideas that don't have to be followed through & everyone will have forgotten about by the next meeting, then great news! We have an office & £180k+ car just for you!

New vehicles and friendly office staff
Driver (Current Employee) - Alfreton, Derbyshire - 1 June 2022
Each day you are given your work for the next day, going from site to site. The fitters and transport manager are very conscientious and the office staff who plan the work are very friendly. I enjoy being the face of the company on site to promote the company and the vehicles are brand new - around 3 years old

Long Hours . Poor Vehicles
If you want a job where you can be out of the house 15 hours a day , this is the place for you. No work life balance , not hard work (that's if you are in a well maintained vehicle)

Happy place to work
Road Sweeper Driver (Former Employee) - Alfreton - 22 November 2021
Great place to work. Excellent training at the beginning of employment due to my lack of previous experience. Great relationship with the office staff and friendly attitude. Occasion overtime which in the run up to Christmas was a big help. Only left due to moving house and closer to new home.

Poorly ran and no care for drivers
Tipper Driver (Former Employee) - Alfreton, Derbyshire - 5 February 2021
The first days at the company are great you are given a fairly new truck and the management seems fair. Although a week into working here i found out wages are not propperly calculated, i didnt get paid for the second week i worked at the company to then have my number blocked so i couldnt contact them to ask why. They do not maintain the fleet correctly and faults on vehicles are always pointed towards the driver. I had 2 days where i was sat doing nothing and paid the minimum hours as there was no trucks to go out delivering on. There was 4 drivers all sat doing nothing due to bad planning and management. I worked here 3 weeks receiving no ppe and being required to wear my own. There was no induction although any errors on tickets was treated like it was the drivers fault for not knowing. All in all a bad company with terrible management
Cons
Long hours, no pay, incorrect pay, poorly maintained fleet.
