  • You will work when your Store Manager tells you to. If your store manager calls you in for three 72 hour shifts, you'd better stock up on Red Bull, cos you ain't leaving til at least four unpaid hours after that shift.

  • All over the place. If you are on a 30 hour contract you could get asked to stay longer (not a bad thing). You can start at 5am or as late as 3pm. If the store is quiet, you may be asked to go home without pay (if you have used up your 30 hours banked time

  • Varies. Could be more that your contracted hours, could be less

  • In Lidl I’m always set to a late shift which is meant to finish at 11 as the store closes at 10, normally get out for about half 11/12.
    I work 35 hours a week.

  • Lidl is mostly a 24 hour business, you could be working anytime but typically between 5am-22:30pm.
