Worked there for 15 years!
Regional Trainer (Former Employee) - North West - 2 November 2023
Lifetime was a good place to work. I worked there for 15 years, I felt valued and rewarded. People who work there are great and put the learner first.

Jobs at Lifetime Training
It used to be good. All about quantity and micromanaging now.
Quite a few things led to my resignation. Very dismissive and in some cases, defensive when members of staff raise concerns/feedback. During a time of low morale, management set up a volunteer team that was to bring forth any concerns or issues the rest of the department raised. However, when we did speak up, the team was met with excuses and never good news for the team, obviously this team fell apart after a few months, they couldn’t bother with it. I supported with further responsibilities and was told there would be a senior role but nothing came. They started treating me differently after I handed in my notice. It was very obvious the main goal is quantity and sales emphasised, even if it was toxic or on the verge of micromanaging, Low morale was way too common. Only good thing was my colleagues, only reason I stayed so long.

Great place to work
Recruitment Coordinator (Former Employee) - Bristol - 31 August 2023
Had a great time working here! Team was friendly, workload was challenging but not overbearing. Meeting some tight deadlines can be stressful, but the team was great at dealing with them cohesively. Overall good experience!

Made redundant while on maternity leave
Learning Coach (Current Employee) - Derby - 11 May 2023
I loved my job at lifetime. I felt well supported for the most part. Until I fell pregnant. I was forced to go on early maternity leave, despite me handing in a sick note and have since been made redundant whilst on leave from the company. I had very little work life balance when I was there so may be a blessing in disguise!
Pros
Great on boarding and ongoing CPD
Cons
No work life balance.

Awfull company to work for
Regional Trainer (Former Employee) - Reading, Berkshire - 9 May 2023
If long hours and ever-changing goalposts and high pressure for very little reward are your thing then this is the company for you The company focuses more on functional skills than actual training
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours and poor management

Good collaboration. Few individuals in management can frustrate.
Regional Trainer/ Learning Coach (Former Employee) - Bristol - 24 April 2023
The company has an inclusive culture and is success and quality driven. Some few individuals in top posts do frustrate the work based Learning Coaches. Minus this, it is the best company to work for.
Pros
Company cars, mileage claim, claim for eye test costs
Cons
Too many things just to tick boxes for funding depriving learning

No work life balance
Regional Trainer (Former Employee) - Bristol - 22 April 2023
No work-life balance. When asked for support during a difficult personal time this was refused. No sense of achievement. Management is disorganised and disrespectful. Would not recommend it.

Stressful management
L2 and L3 (Former Employee) - All over the northwest area - 20 April 2023
High case loads, deadlines constantly due to management not communicating correctly, no backing or support for oof learners just demands on completions and you have to teach maths and English even though they say you don’t
Pros
Learning coaches are amazing
Cons
Everything is rubbish and unorganised

Tough place to work
Regional Trainer (Current Employee) - Home Based - 19 March 2023
Workplace is pressured and although direct line manager is good she is under pressure to meet targets and this means there is a lack of support as her team is too large. Pay is reasonable hours long and working from home means can be isolating. Enjoyable part is seeing learners working with clients but that is little satisfaction for the bs that comes with the role.
Pros
Paid mileage
Cons
Long hours and isolating

If your face fits!
English and Maths Tutor (Current Employee) - Remote - 14 August 2022
Quite a toxic place to work. It's more about if your face fits than how qualified and experienced you are. Bad decisions made by management as it is purely about the numbers and not the learner experience.
Pros
Not many

Working to get better!
Coach (Current Employee) - United Kingdom - 10 August 2022
Good place to work with good benefits. Can be stressful at times, especially when there are a lot of changes going on. Lifetime are trying hard to get things right, and are going in the right direction. Watch this space!

Do not apply!
Software Developer (Former Employee) - Bristol - 11 July 2022
The most important, yet the most ignored, sign of unprofessional workers is their poor communication. If a person cannot communicate orders, information or ideas clearly then there is no point of their working in a team. Unprofessional people don’t listen to instructions and usually do whatever they please. Unprofessional employee!

always worried about the next round of redundancies
Tutor (Former Employee) - Field Based - 1 July 2022
Promises made, not kept, moving goalposts and no one willing to be accountable for bad practice or treatment of soon-to-be-redundant empolyees. General lack of communication, even about important processes.
