No work life balance and pay is terrible
No work life balance and pay is terrible for the responsibility you have also no support from management long shifts so spend lots of time away from home management try changing rotas on you without even asking if your available for the change over all not the best company to work for
Support Worker in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex

Poor company
Particular staff are favourites amongst management, agency workers are given 90% of the workload whilst seniors sit in the office the majority of the day. Management very friendly with staff and neither maintains a professional boundary

Let down by management
Staffing levels are an open and closing door, you never have enough staff on.Team leaders choose when they turn up, regardless of the rota. Management don’t reply if you have concerns and nothing seems to get sorted if you raise any.
Service Manager in West Bromwich, West Midlands

Would recommend to stay away
Upper management have no clue of individual services. Services turn from support for ppl with care needs, to drug and alcohol rehab! Complete Shambles!Service managers are not supported by upper management, they take staff away from services to leave critically low levels.

Could be better
Not great. Felt very overwhelmed and unsupported by higher management on shift if things had escalated. Even when doing everything by the book, it wasn't nice to be dragged into meetings by a pen pusher who had no experience working with people with disabilities, just for her to turn around and berate you, making it all your fault somehow. At the time, I had made it known I disagreed with her two cents in front of other employees who got the same treatment. I should've just walked out at the time and when I complained to head office, nothing got done about it.
