Great site engineers but management is disorganised and condescending. Unreasonable work hours sometimes and no overtime pay. Poor weekend callout rates.
Pros
Reputable company
Cons
Management sucks !
Had a great time with them.
We put in the hours but reaped the rewards. I regretted leaving when I did.
We had a strong team spirit and pushed the boundaries of innovation. We adapted well to changes in the market place and grew exponentially as a company.
Do not even bother. management of the company have no clue how to run this company, management if you could call them that, run this company like a shambles no experience need here for this as it seems like any Tom dick and Harry could do the job, the technicians on the field are a good bunch of lads to work with and there are some what really know what there doing, maybe the management should listen to them as they know the job, and with them working on the ground, the management could learn something useful, in stead of running the company on a shoe string and trying to bodge everything. No wonder the company losing their clients
Pros
Not a lot
Cons
Bad management
Totally unorganized with little or no support from management or office staff your pretty much on your own if things go wrong but on the other hand it's good money with good benefits and always promised it will get better. Also expected to work and stay away on a frequent basis
Pros
Good pay and benefits
Cons
Useless management and little help and support from anyone
One of the worst companies to work for! Very low morale, they dont care about their employees and they want to make money with the least cost!
Management is so bad and extremely unorganised! They say that they have long term plans and strong pipeline but they really dont know what they do.
Just stay away and dont even think abou to join a company like this, which only care about drinks, parties and become richer (very few of them) by underestimating their own employees.
Pros
Drinks and social events
Cons
Everything else!
Good management;
Great location;
Modern and stylish office;
Professional team;
Multitasking;
…………………………………………………….....................................
Pros
Company's parties and events
Cons
Communication with other departments
Initially this role was a good fit for me however due to the down trade in the renewables market the company can not provide me with what I am looking for.
Pros
Work Life Balance
Cons
None
Great company unfortunately hit by the reduction on renewables funding. Good ethos, great delivery and global recognition as the largest solar PV power provider in UK & Europe and second largest globally.
Pros
Good salary & package
Cons
Huge targets & susceptible to government funding
Typically I felt that there were too many management positions, however the company was successful despite this.
London based work hours were longer than the norm, but enjoyed a good working environment.
Pay was generous with a good benefits scheme.
Largely let down by government cuts in the FiT scheme, which cost a lot of staff members their jobs.
The company is not "Renewable" focused, but follows the money (it is basically an investment firm)
Pros
Good Pay / Bonus package
Cons
Reliant on Government subsidies
Busy and strict deadlines, UK travel to identify new land opportunities, seal land deals with land owners, project manage through pre-planning and planning.
Pros
Fantastic Head Office
Cons
No Job Security

Is Indeed your favorite place to learn about companies?
Typical work day to day was fine, however the phrase "To many cooks, spoil the broth" and "Too many chiefs and not enough indians" spring to mind about the management.
Co workers were all hard working and a joy to spend time with.
Day to say running the entire IT operations from Support, Development and Infrastructure. Great company to work for with an amazing culture which is set by the current CEO.
Lightsource deliver on each project and manage the development process to the highest standards - mediocrity is not acceptable and the expectation of each employee is to exceed internal and external standards. The rewards are provided and the senior management team are very well thought of through the continued development of propositions.
