Agency Driver in Heywood, Greater Manchester
on 16 November 2022
Have new fleet of trucks and the job is good as nobody contacts you unless for job changes.
I have worked at Lineage for many years on and off as an agency driver, had no issues with the place until recently returned after working elsewhere. Now I have experienced from one or two certain individuals a dislike for agency drivers working there. They think we are taking the best jobs and trucks off them, one individual always moaning and just blanks agency drivers. How childish can you get! Most other Lineage drivers are welcoming. So to any agency drivers going there the work is ok apart from the issue mentioned.Maintenance Engineer in Portbury

Maintenance Engineer
No negatives with the job. Probably due to the fact that both my line managers/people I report to are very good and competent managers, one of whom has done 'my job' so knows fully what it is like. My only gripe is that we don't receive an on-call retainer payment (we do get paid if we have to attend, obviously). But there is currently no payment made for the 'inconvenience' of being the responsible person 'on-call'. If you are 'on-call' it means you have to be able to respond to an incident in a timely manner; it also means that if you are at a party or a BBQ, don't even think about having a drink...in case that 'on-call' phone rings ;-)Case picker in Newark-on-Trent

Good work place
I really enjoy my job, I'm working by myself most of the time, which I enjoy. Its heavy work, so you have to be strong and be able to walk at least 20 thousand steps a dayWarehouse Operative in Nottinghamshire

Just getting worse
Changes needed to made to make it a better place to work. Like a boys club with management. Needs new management as current to stuck in the passed, making pickers walk to pick instead of using PPTS etc. Company needs to invest money in training management as most lack the minimum training, having no people skills making it a negative working environment causing a large turn over of staff. Companies that have numerous opening days can mean two things large turn over of staff or its a new start up Company. This isn't a start up Company. Pick rate in place and down time monitored but no-one seems to understand how the system works and how the figures are calculated. But warnings are given regardless. My experience of working there became more negative the longer I was there.Depot General Manager in Gillingham

Interview questions
Level of previous experience. My interview was probably one of the best I've ever had for a job. I was put at ease and the interview was an enjoyable process.
