Childcare Training Courses in London

Little Ones Training and Education offer short childcare courses to update your skills, improve your knowledge, and make you stand out from the crowd. Our continued professional development courses (CPD) are suitable for nannies, childminders, maternity nurses and anyone working within the early years sector. Our courses are accredited by the Open College Network (OCN) London as well as our first aid, and early years courses being OFSTED compliant. COURSES FOR ALL Anyone working within early years should regularly update their FIRST AID QUALIFICATION. Childminders and nursery staff are required to have this, but nannies too should update every 3 years. Little Ones Training & Education offers a 6 hour EMERGENCY FIRST AID or 12 hour OFSTED PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID. Another must have is SAFEGUARDING. This short course offers learners an understanding of the current legislation surrounding safeguarding, as well as the role you play and what you can do to protect children from harm.

Courses for Childminders

Childminders are legally required to be OFSTED registered. As a Childminder, you will undergo regular inspections, with a key requirement to have a comprehensive understanding of The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Our EARLY YEARS CARE AND EDUCATION COURSE is the first step to becoming a childminder. Accredited at a Level 2, this course will give you the foundation to set up your business and the skills to put into your practice. You will learn about the EYFS, Child Development, Safeguarding and Information Sharing in a multi-agency way. On completion of this course, you will be able to register as a childminder. Link:

Courses for Nannies

For nannies looking to apply to the OFSTED Voluntary Register, we offer the EARLY YEARS CARE AND EDUCATION COURSE at a Level 3, covering all aspects of the COMMON CORE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE as well as a whole lot more! The course covers; Child Development Safeguarding Supporting Transitions Effective Communication Multi-Agency Working Information Sharing The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Professional Development Further to this, we also run a LEARN TO READ COURSE, offering nannies a comprehensive understanding of phonetics and the phonics systems in place to teach children how to read. This is a fantastic CPD Course which will impress parents and develop your skills in communication, language and literacy.

Maternity Nurse Training

Have you ever dreamt about working with babies? Or want to know how to support a new mum? Little Ones' Training & Education offers a 2-day course, accredited to Level 3 or 4 in POST NATAL AND INFANT CARE. This course will give you the skills to understand everything about a newborn baby. From bathing and feeding them, to establish a routine. Learn about nutrition for a new mum and how to support them with breastfeeding. This course offers practical hands-on learning as well as theory, giving you the confidence around new babies. Another great course is UNDERSTANDING SLEEP IN BABIES AND INFANTS. This 1-day course, accredited to level 3 or 4 works alongside the Post Natal course, or as a CPD course to help you understand how and why we sleep, the sleep environment and how to implement gentle or strict sleep training techniques.

Are you looking for an OFSTED REGISTERED nanny? Or are you a nanny, looking to become registered? Did you know that Little Ones can help provide 3 out of the 4 items required by Ofsted for registration? For families seeking a nanny who is OFSTED REGISTERED, this will open up your candidate search. By finding the right nanny, and then putting them through the training, you can quickly register the nanny of your choice on the Ofsted Voluntary Register, without limiting your search to already registered candidates. For nannies, some families ask for OFSTED REGISTERED nannies as a requirement in their search criteria. By completing the right courses, you will be ready to register, should the need arise.
