Good place to work, provides training to staffs. Understaffed.

It's a good place to work, the Trust provides trainings to staffs which is really helpful for skills development. But there are units that are understaffed of nurses which can cause the quality of care that are provided to patients be sacrificed.

Stressful but enjoyable

The only bad thing about working here is that there is nowhere proper for staff to have breaks they have to sit in public areas or a tiny little staff room.

Pros

Work, patients, rewarding job

Cons

Long hours

The worst place I have ever worked

The Culture is dreadful . Processes awful , but had some really lovely colleagues who are sadly worn down by the excessive and risky workloads with an ever present blame culture. The worst place I have ever worked with poor leadership

Pros

None

Cons

Toxic place to work

Bad Management - It's like the military

Understaffed service, with not enough chairs, desks, enough office space or computers to work on. I don't feel appreciated and the general level is very low.

Pros

Nothing.

Cons

Rigid managers

Big organisation with benefits and opportunities

All in all a good trust to work for. Lots of opportunities to develop in a mostly healthy working culture. Lots of benefits including salary sacrifice for fleet cars and home electronics.

Rewarding ... At first

Overall, I think working here was an excellent opportunity. However, when working in research you soon realise you get left behind a bit in terms of pay if you aren't a nurse. Research Nurses and Clinical Research Practitioners do the exact same role but Research Nurses are promoted more often just due to them having a nursing registration. I saw nurses who joined the network long after me getting promoted even when some did less work than I did. When I asked when there would be opportunity to apply for band 6 as a Practitioner I was told they needed more nurses to fill a "quota". Seems quite unfair to have staff doing the same work but some being paid much less. It made me lose my drive and I eventually left.

Awful place to work

Poor poor poor management. The patients suffer by the lack of staffing due to poor management. Unrealistic expectations from above to look after patients. No support from management and a poor attitude towards the staff on wards in general. Couldn’t organise ………let you finish the sentence

Pros

You can leave at the end of your shift

Cons

Working there full stop

Absolutely terrible place to work. No support from management at all.

Dangerous place to work, bed managers do not care about patient safety, they are only interested in meeting targets and don't care how they meet them. Constantly at risk of losing your pin.

Pros

None

Cons

Too many to list
