Lloyds Bank Employee Review
Overall ok
Personal Banking Advisor (Former Employee) - Haywards Heath, West Sussex - 31 May 2023
In general it’s a great place to work. Makes you feel safe lots of benefits. Mainly it’s the sales side of things even tho you “can’t” push sales the managers are always making you feel like you haven't done enough to push things on to people that don’t need it. When I first started you had targets but they were slowly pushed out but they were still there and found it mentally straining! Especially walk through dropped dramatically people using online banking instead

Fair employer providing on going training, support and career progression if desired. Very supportive through Covid showing they do value the well-being and work life balance of their staff.
Pros
Many benefits which continue to grow.

Wasn't told what my job was when I started temping there - person training me was on holiday and I spent first week guessing what I was supposed to end up doing. Team leader was vague and didn't seem to know or care. High turnover of staff, but worst aspect was the hypocrisy; Lloyds head office promotes an inclusive and respectful atmosphere, however, the management in my branch were anything but. One male team leader was openly making lewd comments, but everyone was afraid to report him. My manager started making advances to me and I know this wasn't unique. Random people were got rid of just because the new team leader didn't like their faces. The threat of losing your job was constant, and I was relieved when it happened. Wouldn't go back to Lloyds if it was the last job on Earth.
Pros
Flexible working hours
Cons
Sexism, poor management, having to log every minute of your working day, threat of losing job, cliquey atmosphere
