Good place to work

Indeed featured review

Great salary and benefit compared to most competitors out there. Job can be very anti social at times working late evening on a shift pattern but overall a secure job

Telephony - Mortgage processor

Good place to work training is amazing and the trainers are supportive. All managers are approachable and will always give help when needed. Pay was good. The job was easy after completing training and after training support was there if needed but well laid out company.

Good stepping stone not for long term

Typical call centre. All about numbers. High expectations with poor training and communication. Good incentives. When you're performing you're the best thing ever. When you're not you're not.

Salary, holiday

Bad management too robotic

Fun workplace

Great place to work. You get a lot of support from the team leaders and the rest of the staff. Also you be given so many opportunities to progress or change departments.

Stressful job, don’t get paid enough. Ask too much of you and not much progression… well if your face fits you’ll be fine. Management isn’t the best. Wrong people for the job.

Productive and fun workplace

Yes it was a lovely place to work, decent salary and the people were very pleasant. Management was average but training was great and shifts were consistent

Other than the salary and overtime. You need thick skin in this environment. It’s full of allot of toxic people.

If you want to progress it’s a culture of if your face fits. Management say that your private information is “on a need to know basis” yet the whole of the management teams find out and then they tell their buddies and before you know it, everyone knows!! They will do anything to cover up absences so their figures are not impacted. Yet they manage certain people through the absence policy to get them out the door. Lack of consistency. Managers have to pull support of others off the phone as their workload is unrealistic and there’s no support for queries. Management won’t even make eye contact with you or smile on the passing until there is engagement surveys about to commence. Your team mates are your support. They get you through the rough times. Also the absence phone is a mobile and there are about 4 mobiles. Half the time you speak to someone you don’t know and they don’t pass the message on to your manager. The place needs a whole new restructure. Or they need bran new senior management who are not from this contact office to come in and recreate the culture and environment without any biased opinions. The overtime and money is good.

I worked in a branch and it was toxic

Lack of communication from management regarding progression. I was put forward for progression and then removed without my knowledge. I was removed because I showed lack of commitment because I went to the walk in centre in the middle of a shift after coming in with an all over body rash that was later diagnosed as measles. I was only made aware after calling to find out when my training was. Environment was toxic, mainly stemming from managers encouraging toxic competition between staff.

Better off in a mental health facility

If you enjoy working for bullies who love the sound of their own voice then this is for you otherwise there are plenty of other banks to work for with a healthier environment.

Good wages

Bully management

Productive workplace

Working at the Lloyds banking group contact call centre can be a very rewarding and satisfying job and the colleagues are nice and welcoming. Although some days can be stressful, unlike most other call centre jobs, targets are a thing of the past. Now it’s mainly compliant based on treating everyone fairly which could lead to you failing over something so minor.

Flexible working hours

Very compliant

Good banter

Not enough pay for work that’s been done and customers having issues and nothing being resolved. It’s nice to work in the middle of the city though and enjoy lunch breaks

Long hoirs

Stressful environment to work in

Management was good but sometimes they overlook too much. Every time you'd be late you either work the time back or they take it from your pay. Even when you need to the toilet you'd have to work the time back. As for the training period - they rush you to finish e-learning so you'd be signed off for taking calls. Practice is very poor as for the queries you have to deal with are not on the training program(there is just few situations on the training program) and it leaves you very confused and stressed as you wouldn't know what to do. If your stats aren't good enough - they let you go.

Good salary, friendly staff you start training with

Constant overlooking, stressful environment, no job security

Good place

I think it's good place for school or college leavers or most preferably for gap year students. University graduates could join in graduate scheme while being permanent is worthwhile in long term.

Great experience

I loved my job and everyday was a new day. Nothing was same as yesterday and loads more opportunities when in their. Double time overtime most of the time.

Good if you can progress

Most managers are decent people and the work is fairly straightforward and easy to do once you get a few months experience. Progression opportunities are there and WFH is fully supported. Paid poorly compared to some of its competitors, especially manager positions.

Good benefits (flex cash, pension etc.)

Monotonous and low salary

Good workplace and promising career prospects.

The workplace is excellent, the colleagues are great and helpful. Anything you need in terms of assistance, the managers will do their best to provide it for you. Excellent benefits, and if you wish to progress further in your career there are options in terms of apprenticeships, graduate schemes and trainings if you wish to progress in a branch. However, you will be challenged because working for a bank is different compared to everywhere else. You will encounter different people with different problems along with different attitudes. Some good and bad. Depending on the situation you need to deal with it professionally and do your best not to take it personally.

Great colleagues, great atmosphere and promising career prospects.

It can be stressful, fast paced and there will be situations where your patience will be tested.

Tough environment

The management get pressured for targets and although there are nobofficial targets they will still pressure you in an indirect way and call it making the customer better off. There is very little support due to their being low staff levels and this means if you need help there often isn't any. This makes starting as a new colleague quite horrific. The tablets and software they use are not fit for purpose so crash or fail often mid interview its embarrassing.

The customers are usually lovely

Weekend working very little recognition and next to zero career progression.
