Stressful, disorganised, depressing
Product Owner (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 27 November 2023
I don’t know what the current Senior Leadership Team are trying to achieve..constant politician style word salads about being part of the biggest banking transformation, which is no different to what we’ve been doing for the last 10 years, trying to migrate everything to digital (and now cloud) to cut costs but under the guise of delivering for customers. The only difference now is the positively awful culture that has been created… lack of trust as MI is monitored to check you go to an office twice a week, even if it’s no value add, the removal of compressed hours because apparently no one can work them effectively and line managers are assumed to be incapable of managing their teams, and the constant fear of losing your job in the next restructure, which seems to be the only real cost saving tool they keep falling back on! As you can imagine the constant fear of job losses also creates a culture of survival, and makes for some awful behaviours and backstabbing. Not sure how anyone can think such an awful people strategy can be good for business… the amount of stress colleagues are feeling is unbelievable and I fear that some people are being driven to very dark places… yet laughingly LBG loves to talk about how it cares for mental health etc.

Shocking
Customer Contact Agent (Former Employee) - Leeds - 24 November 2023
If you want to be overworked, no flexibility, micro managing and abysmal pay - Lloyds is the company to work for. They have zero regard for the people at the bottom keeping the cogs turning, earning them record profits, in return providing below average salary. They continue to make changes only to suit themselves - at the detriment of colleagues health and wellbeing.

Busy workplace, friendly people
Customer Consultant (Current Employee) - Chester, Cheshire - 23 November 2023
Fast pace, busy environment. Lovely and friendly people around you. The calls can be very challenging and difficult to get used to, but there is a lot of support. There are frequently a lot of changes so that is also something that’s hard to get used to, you have to follow where the company takes you, whether you’re exactly comfortable with it or not.

Not a good place to work for.
Investment Analyst (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 23 November 2023
Full of public schoolboys. Avoid. Not worth the hassle to be honest. Management is an old boys sort of network, you know the likes. Micro managed. Just draining.

great
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 21 November 2023
McDonald’s is proud to be one of the most recognized brands in the world, with restaurants in over 100 countries and billions of customers served each year. As the global leader in the food service industry, we have a legacy of innovation and hard work that continues to drive us. Today, we are growing with velocity and are focused on modernizing our experiences, not to make a different McDonald’s but to build a better McDonald’s. About 80% of the restaurants are run by franchisees or affiliates. great place to work for if you are happy with the number of hours you can put up. colleagues are so friendly.

Decent place to stay
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 18 November 2023
Not much progression but it’s an alright place to stay for a few months. Pay is ok and hours are standard. Calls are fast-paced and they keep an eye on your calls. Some nice seating areas and it’s the centre of leeds so you can get some food at lunch.

Stressful, overwhelming, zero support
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Bedford - 16 November 2023
Working at Lloyds banking group is kind of like being in the trenches. Management aren’t supportive in the slightest, offering very little help in drastically dangerous or illegal situations. You’re regularly asked to complete tasks significantly above your pay grade, and are barely trained to complete tasks within your scope of responsibility. The teams are always fantastic, but there is a clear divide between grade A/B and C-E. Advancement opportunities only exist if you run in the right circles, with the eldest staff having been there for 15 years+ and having never moved past a grade A.
Pros
Decent pay
Cons
Everything else

Typical call centre
Advisor (Former Employee) - Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear - 16 November 2023
Nothing good or bad to say about the place. Was a typical call centre with so many frustrating rules, but well paid at the time for what it was. Just a job

Overall, it was a good place to work and I will sure recommend.
