High expectation for little pay and no rewards for loyalty. If face fits you will get promoted. The management is unreliable and dated with no skills

Great rewards, support and very inclusive and diverse company to work for, helping British prosper. Fantastic training and job security. Flexible holidays, including term time, option to buy a weeks holiday every year, flex benefits, and optional private health insurance. Great place

Excellent workplace . Loved working here. Great management. Keep it up . Salaries are a bit low but it’s not as stressful as any other banks . Offices are a bit drab though.

An OK place to work

Benefits once you are made permanent are good including generous pension contribution amongst others, however management are not very helpful or available. Escalating this got me nowhere. Not flexible when it comes to needing to take time off for emergencies.

Pros

Good benefits

Cons

Limited on progression

friendly culture

Some great people and talent in the Branch. A lot of focus on building engagement, inclusion and belonging and creating positive change - enjoyed being there.

Hard work

Good place to work for pension etc but they did not appreciate that work could be carried out remotely within certain departments but did like working there

Bad employer

After covid it changed. Workforce dissatisfied mainly due to poor management and in ability to work out coherent processes that both staff and customers understand and can follow. Shocking, shocking, shocking call hold times and policy of transferring calls until the last person is stuck with it. Managers have all their holidays when they want and staff in a stupid unfair rota. Complaints just pile up and no efficient system to deal with. Regulator please step in and sort them out as 25 million customer base is clearly too much for senior management to handle.

Pros

Hometime

Cons

Apologising all the time for others mistakes

Pros

Cons

Quite chaotic, boring work, good pay and work-life balancd

The pay is very competitive and there's a range of incentives available. They also offer a generous holiday allowance and training opportunities. However, the actual work is quite boring, repetitive, and there's a lack of direction and structure. Unsurprisingly, it's quite a corporate environment where people who are the loudest/most extrovert are often rewarded over the ones who provide better output but don't necessarily boast about it at every opportunity.

Toxi and always having to re-apply for your job every year.

They have redundancies every year.Management are just puppets, and scared of losing their benefits, company car etc. so they are yes people and filter like a drainpipe.benefits are good, but what's the point if management give you stress. They talk about Diversity / equality and seeing is believing. It just does not exit. They have their faviorites.

Alright while it was Alright

Very little development if your face doesn’t fit , and some senior managers are definitely on a power trip. Some managers are extremely supportive but it doesn’t outweigh the others who will talk to you like you’re an idiot if you ask for support. The workplace culture was extremely cliquey and often uncomfortable if you weren’t like others. Used to love the job but after a while it got extremely monotonous - didn’t realise how much this job effected my mental health until I left. Couldn’t pay me enough to go back.

Not bad

Job isn’t bad, shifts are not the greatest. Lots of targets to work to, selling loans, credit cards etc.Moral in my team was quite low as there was a lot of pressure in sales.Calls were constant

Great place to work

You get a lot of support & training, the job itself is not too difficult; it's definitely a learn on the job experience. The people are very nice and helpful, they have lots of benefits, can't really complain except about the pay, for the work we do and the importance I think the fraud team deserve a little more.

Just the worst place to work for

Not the best place. No opportunity and low remuneration package. The people there are terrible. Hypercritical with a lot of the things they say. Everything that is delivered from managerial to the lower level is completely dofferent

Pros

Not much

Cons

Everything from salary to the people

Stressful

My particular role deals with people who are in financial difficulties. They neglected to tell me that a lot of customers are very difficult to deal with. Due to the age demographic some are vulnerable, poorly, bereaved, divorced etc. No training is given on how much you will be counselling these people, not just trying to sort out their finances. It is exhausting and stressful. My manager is great but at the end of the day he is there to implement what the bank says. Calls are listened to for feedback and you are timed for calls and holds. They try not to make it negative but it always is. The pay does not reflect the stress. The only bonus is the people I work with are lovely and my manager is supportive but he cannot change the ‘system’. Very much cost driven with not enough highly trained staff. They use junior staff to fill the gaps as they don’t have enough senior staff. Role out of new systems is rushed with not enough training and support.

Pros

Colleagues. Flexible benefits.

Cons

Stress

Don't work for lloyds bank

They are still stuck in the old days of sell sell sell, good benefits and pay once you've been there for a while but very toxic place to work thanks to management.

Pros

Pay and benefits

Cons

Management

Great place to work

Busy working day but enjoyable.I learned so much about fraud and how to prevent it happening. Management was excellent. No part of the job was hard. The most enjoyable part was putting the customers mind at rest when they had become a victim of fraud.

Pros

Friendly atmosphere.

Cons

None.
