Management can be a bit of a joke. Long hours. Not a lot of days off. Be prepared especially if agency worker. To be treated totally different to the permanent staff.
Pros
Goodish breaks.
Cons
Long hours. Bad shift pattern

Applies for 9-5 position which was promised. Work time was then changed at the last minute before being placed on the phones to continental shift pattern, which was 12pm to 11pm 4 days a week, without notification or consent. Managers are the worst as they just tell people to "Look it up" if you have issues and asking for help is like pulling teeth.

Salary
Cons

I really enjoyed working for Lloyds and if my circumstances hadn't forced me to leave I would still be there. They help people progress in the company with training and exams. They encourage their employees to have a good work/life balance. You get out what you put in but they help you along the way. The graduate program is fantastic but hard work if you can get on it. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Pros
Lots of extra benefits
Cons
Hours can be long at certain times

Loads of opportunities to progress and try out new areas. I’ve moved around a fair bit but gained loads of experience by doing so. If you’re happy to try new things then you can move up. Stay in the same team or department and moving up can be hard. They offer loads of training and there are tons on new schemes to develop you especially for women in tech.

Cons

The downside is the Management .teams were great met some nice people there. Management were very clicky.if your face fitted you could fly if it didn't then life was dame hard .I knew a lot of people taking calmers just to get through the day . You would have to be there a very long time before it benefits wages go up on a very small basis over the years other banks offer more money than Lloyds. If you were in with Management you could earn a lot of money .but if not don't expect a great deal
Pros
Bank Holidays and Christmas off

Lloyd’s banking group is a a good company to work for. Over the years they have been through great deal of challenges but the bank itself looks after colleagues and it’s customers. They have great benefits for colleagues and really pride themselves on their service.

Unfortunately, an awful place to work. Lack of progression is clear and those in charge of schedules (WFP) make the job a nightmare. Management poor as well, never praised for working hard unless you are going for a promotion. Expected to take abuse from customers as well. Have had incidents of colleagues getting in trouble for terminating calls with abusive customers swearing at them. The job security in the Bournemouth call centre is also shockingly bad, constantly getting smaller and smaller and management are unable to offer any real long term job security. It is a real shame as I do believe that Lloyds would be a good company to work for, just not in this specific role.
Pros
Good people, sometimes get nice customers
Cons
Abusive customers, terrible product, rude managers, lack of progression & Work Force Planning especially.

Managers a joke the most unprofessional in there.Culture very stressful and workload too high. Buildings not clean enough and health and safety very often ignored. Training inadequate.
Pros
Some good staff benefits
Cons
Not paid enough for the stress and workload, inadequate training, support and incompetent management. If you value your mental health avoid.

You will either love it or hate it. I personally liked the job to begin with but then it all just went down hill, just couldn’t take being spoken too like i was dirt on almost every call and then not having much support from management. Once you’re out of the training stage you quickly realise your just a number
Pros
Decent salary
Cons
Not a great work environment

When I first joined 13 years ago, I loved my job but the managers were bullies. I eventually moved to a wider part of the business where I fell in love with my job & got promoted a few times. The bank thrive on promoting Mental Health Awareness. Please note that this is all just for promotion and to raise money. When it comes to it and they make people redundant, there is no duty of care. Only support via people from HR that you don’t know. Managers don’t care. They are absolutely brutal and vile.
Pros
Can work from home
Cons
Poor management who don’t support you

Worked at lloyds over 16 years, if you are happy living in an uncertain environment and are good with change then this business would work for you. It is fast paced, agile within reason and has allot of the best practices in place for employees

There is a lot to learn but, no job security. Good team to get support when you need it. The car park is a disadvantage, you have to pay for it, which is costly.

Productive, focused and flexible workplace. The work and people culture at Lloyds is fantastic especially within Digital. The dynamic environment can be challenging for those that are not adept to changing with the times as the company is continuing improving ways of working. As a benefit the flexible working is very flexible and one of the key benefits.

I found that Managers are not very helpful when trying to approach for assistance, You are not praised for a job that you have done well. Also the training within your job role was not very helpful from the trainer.

Overall a good package just need to increase the wages. Work life balance could be better with working every weekend but can change with different careers within the bank

LBG isn't for everyone. The only positive is your colleagues. LBG do not care about individuals who work for them. I was employed through an agency as a temporary member of staff this is a strategy they use to avoid having to give employees benefits and ensure you can be let go without reason or warning. They keep employees as agency workers for years without ever offering the security of permanent employment
