Lloyds Banking Group Employee Review
AVOID - used to be good now awful
PMO Manager (Current Employee) - Birmingham City Centre, West Midlands - 9 June 2023
Recent changes to hours and location across the board have impacted colleagues negatively. There's no flexibility anymore, which used to be one of the main benefits of working at the company. Pay is average but progression is difficult so what looks good on paper is hard to achieve. There's very little development opportunities either, unless you count LBG in-house e-learning. Mental Health is a 'focus' but only as a tick boxing exercise. No real effort or time is put into supporting colleagues. Individual colleagues are usually good to work with but the leadership and direction is awful. If you value yourself please avoid. I've been with LBG for 17 years and have always found some redeeming features to keep me there. These benefits have all gone now. Colleagues are leaving, they've been pushed to their limits.

Fast paced and working to a budget
PMO Manager - Ring Fencing Programme (Legal) (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 10 January 2020
Worked out very quickly the financial status of the programme as there was a risk of overspending before the end of the year. Liaised with the Finance division and the Senior Lawyers on areas where the budget was reviewed and adapted accordingly. Enjoyed working with the external law firms and understanding how the legal aspects of the programme fit within the company.
Pros
Working with external law firms, understanding the overall impact of the programme within the banking function
Cons
Long hours and explaining to Lawyers the importance of working within a budget
