Change resistant company which is underselling its people.
This is a vast organisation with some excellent people within it. My fear is that the company is streamlining but failing to value those same skilled employees. The company will slowly become digitally relevant but will lag behind its rivals and not have the exceptional customer service they were known for.
Pros
Great benefits, Great People
Cons
Defunct systems, premises and processes

Great place to work with a varied day to day
During my time in banking I have covered a variety of roles. My role as Customer Service Manager involved the day to day running of the branch and the organisation of staff rostering, delivery of sales and referral targets for my Team and the Branch, the customer service rating score through relentless delivery of excellent customer service achieved by building relationships with customers, monthly one to one meetings with my 14 strong staff team to ensure the delivery of their targets, coaching and observation of staff, training of staff from New to Bank entrants through to ongoing training of experienced staff to maintain their accreditations, ensuring that all risk and audit aspects of the branch and staff were adhered to and maintenance of the building and premises. As a Branch Manager my role was similar to that of the Customer Service Manager, but with the addition of the control and achievement of 10 product lines, management of a 6 man strong team and interviewing customers for mortgage advice and all other banking requirements from loans to home insurance and bank accounts. Over the years I have learned a variety of sales and management techniques. One of the hardest parts of my job was getting everybody to have the same desire as my self to succeed. One of the most enjoyable parts of my job was sorting out problems for customers where they were very worried or stressed and seeing them leave the branch happy.
Pros
Staff rate loans and accounts and flexible benefits
Cons
Long hours
