Fun place to work but poor pay

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Pay is very poor not enough for your hard work in a very busy pharmacy. Only good thing is you have a nice and supportive colleagues but the management and the pay is not good.

Used to be good

Used to be good with trainings, and decent staffing levels, but has since gone downhill. Majority of the pharmacies have been sold after being taken over by new management.

Toxic workplace

• The most toxic place I've ever worked.• Low skill low pay job.• The worst management I've ever encountered.Lloyd's Pharmacy is quite frankly the worst job I've ever had. Incredibly toxic atmosphere, the people who work there are unskilled and unkind. The management is the worst I've ever seen.Avoid. Low pay, low skilled job with no career opportunities and an awful workplace culture.

Pros

None.

Cons

Everything, especially the toxicity.

Exhausting & deflating

What is the best part of working at the company? There is nothing good about working for Lloyds, they have no concern for the amount of pressure they put their staff under, with unrealistic targets & deadlines. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? You have no back up from area managers or higher up bodies. You are left to be worked to the bone for a pittance of pay. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Due to the extensive work load you are inundated with every day, the morale is very low. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Full on from when the doors open to when they close, very very busy

It's not surprising lloyds went under, the working environment was understaffed and unprofessional

What is the best part of working at the company? The other long suffering staff What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Not being paid overtime, not having enough staff to function efficiently What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Staff are lovely but the environment is understaffed and stressful which doesn't make for a good experience for customers

Disorganised

Dreadful! They don’t care about the people working for them, they don’t pay properly, don’t answer emails. Just a terrible company to work for! Such a shame!

Good

Good company to work for. Hours and working conditions are good. Pay isn’t bad, but could be better. Very customer and target focused, with good outcomes

Awful

What is the best part of working at the company? The other staff in the branch. Very friendly and made me feel very welcomeWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company?Working for Lloyds in general. Awful management What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Awful. No support from anybody above branch level. Area manager doesn't have a clue about pharmacy so could offer no support or advice What is a typical day like for you at the company?Hectic. Very busy and the phone never stopped ringing. Another of the time we didn't even have a pharmacist so couldn't even open

Productive and well trained

It was my first job as a pharmacy dispenser and I learned a lot. I worked within a great team, and had amazing support in my learning process. Most of the time we were understaffed and that made it a bit challanging, but per total it was a nice experience.

Great place to work

Been there a long time and I have enjoyed my time there. the shop managers is hard work but thankfully they aren’t my boss. The driver Coordinater is great and always looked after the drivers. Making it a really good job. Probably the best job iv Ever had almost always felt looked after.

Toxic work environment

Dispensing hospital prescriptions, using advanced maths and science. Staff overworked, overlooked and under appreciated. Lack of career progression within the company but does provide possible progression into the hospital.

Pros

Interesting job

Cons

No support from management

Organization

This company was good 15 years ago with more than 20 branches in Leeds. Than management has gone worse and worse leading to a closing down all branches. The new compass system (LS) they got last year is very complicated and slow, so it is very time consuming.

Not a good place to work for

Worked with company for 20yrs, always understaffed and underpaid. Management and head office don’t help. Stayed here as hrs worked around my family. Avoid if you can

High turnover of staff lots of pressure

Area Management offer no support totally disconnected at what goes on at store/dispensary level, often over worked, stressful all day, customers demanding, worries of closing, no loyalty to staff.

Okay

Not the worst company to work for but equally far from the best. Decent culture but also a lack of support from management. Pay decent for the level of work expected.

High workload

High workload and lower pay, it depends on who you work with as to whether you enjoy the job. Was options for extra training to advance- moved from counter assistant to dispensing assistant quickly.

Depends on your manager

Been with the company less than two years and it is coming to an end thankfully. It was promising in the beginning but over last six months it’s turned into chaos. I would NOT recommend working with this company unless you thrive in turbulent environments with no communication from head office.

Pros

Colleagues you meet can be wonderful

Cons

Poor salary

Lack of opportunities and development for pharmacist

No opportunities. Bad management and salary not worth for the work your are doing. When you need help , the management doesn t do too much. Shortstaff issues and very bad leadership

Staff make the job

No training due to no staff. Small friendly team that was the highlight of the job. If the time for training was given would of been a great place to grow

Stressful at times

Hard work, short staffed. Patients can be rude but understandable with all the medication shortages we experienced. Was lucky to have a Lovely manager and friendly team.
