They start you on a higher rate and then slowly but surely drop it as time goes on. You would be better off having a full time job pay wise. Work it super easy though so if that’s what you look for instead of earning money then this place is perfect for you. Hardly respond to you on the phone as well.

Stressful, treated like a number

Management were rude, expected to do way too much work (heavy lifting I might add) for minimum wage, and constantly changed your shifts with little to no notice.Sent you texts to confirm a shift then cancelled them on you after you reply.Treated like a number at work, and made you feel like your *unpaid* break was something you couldn't take.

Would not recomend to any one to work for them, as there is lack of honesty from them.They trying to hide that your hourly rate £15.33 including your holiday pay, and you not going to get any holidays throughout the year.Tipical disshonest agency.Stay away from them.

Terrible atmosphere to work in.

Don't work at great bear deeside, They just want more and more work out of you for the same pay. You get idiots there who will work until they drop And if you don't do the same you are out the door. There is alot of fellow workers who are pro management and will try and drop you in it. Most of the people above the normal workers are horrible snakes. APART FROM A FEW. SO BE WARNED.

Not helpful staff, pay rate is very low for hgv driver

I would not recommend the company do to low pay rate, and they are not helpful not flexibility, couple months i have asked them to change my start time, my location they not really pay attentions.

An excellent employer

I got paid good wages for a professional driving job that involved no loading or unloading. Fair wages, fair treatment, and a friendly culture with a good canteen. Keep calling them until you get a job with them. Good luck.

Over all this company I would not advise to work for the management don’t think anything of you and break employment law. If your face fits your ok but I’d honestly say if your looking for work or a change apply to another security company before this one

I thought they were very good to start with how very wrong I was This was to recruit for warehouse staff for culina logistics. You only get a week with another member of staff then you are on your own. Not a nice way to find out that they don't want you anymore I learnt from culina management. When you phone them no one has a clue. You have been warned go elsewhere ⚠️

VERY BAD AGENCY FOR DRIVERS, trying to get your details and disappearing. Different consultants are saying different pay rates for the same positions. Low rates. They still continues to employ ltd drivers, but at the same time ,,new,, (even those, who has worked there before as ltd) drivers can't choose this option of work, only paye (if only you're not a friend with some one at the office). Consultants does not communicate to each other, really messy communication, discommuniation. It's not anymore the same high level agency as it was a couple of yeras ago. If you want to be screwded up, go ahead, if not - try to avoid them! Nursery level.

No job security.Make you go home early when there is no work.Some lovely people at Great Bear but some nasty line leaders who make attempts to undermine confidence and intelligence.If your face fits then you will be fine, if it doesn't then the line leader will make stories up for you to be then given the push.Revolving door staff for a reason.

Horrible managers. Don’t work for them. Treat you as a nobody when you’re working even though you’re helping them out. Speak to you like cr*p too! Treated me badly, didn’t really say much because didn’t want to lose my job but don’t really care as they lost a good checker with excellent rates. Joke of a company. Managers need training on how to treat someone as a person. Think they’re above you.

Inconsistent work

When I got the job offer, they did not state that you only work when there is work. Some weeks I came in 4/5 days a week and some you’ll get one or two shifts. The agency made it out that you’ll be working 5 days a week. Sometimes they cancel shifts the day before. Worst agency I’ve worked with and very unprofessional.

Management/planners can either make your shift good or give you stores to make the shift long and stressful. Could give you 2 distance stores but other drivers will get local stores for a shorter shift

Pretty good all round

I am only registered as an adhoc driver at a specific depot which means I’m not guaranteed regular shifts however, I’ve been getting a reasonable amount of work. I do have to chase for work sometimes but the team are always approachable and accessible, even on a Sunday. They have also suggested other locations to give me more options. Pay has always been correct. Never had a cancelled shift.

Accessible and friendly team - Especially Kelly.

Cons

Can go 4-6 weeks with no shifts being offered. As the principle agency at this specific depot, it would be good to have priority over other agencies.

If you are disabled forget it they have no shame you are ok if they want you to work every how that is convenient for them then they drop you at a drop of a hat now they think they are bigger than the companies that are asking them to get drivers to sum it up stay away bad go elsewhere
